Quiet log cabin and remote location great for relaxing and getting away. 1 hour drive of Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. 40 min from Mason City, 8 mi. from Osage, IA. 9 mi. from lake Hendricks in Riceville, IA where there is great fishing, beach swimming and river canoeing available! Lots of wildlife to observe and housebroke pets welcome. Fire pit, sauna, large deck for grilling. Longer stays most welcomed. Putting green, so bring putter and chipping wedge. Archery target for field tip arrows.

Moose Haus Lodge

This barn refinished into a rustic cabin will give you the feeling that you are in the middle of the woods while having the convenience of being in town. Located just minutes from downtown Clear Lake, the historic Surf Ballroom, and City Beach, this is the perfect get-away spot! A large upper loft makes this a great option for families with kids or a peaceful adult retreat. Pets are family... so we are pet friendly, but do add a $25 dollar pet fee (per pet) for the duration of your stay.

Watts Theatre Apartment Over Main

This Apartment was lived in by owners/builders of Watts Theatre. Mr. Watts was rumored to be acquaintances with Frank Lloyd Wright who was involved in the planning of the building. You will see many of his features including wide sweeping curves thus eliminating many 90 degree angles. While you stay enjoy watching the movie from your own Private Viewing Space in the second bedroom. There are shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 4pm check out our website for specifics.

The Clausen House-Historic home close to the Lake

The Clausen House has been where families have been creating memories since 2018. If you need additional space check out the Schoolhouse vacation rental located on the same property. The Clausen House was built in 1890 and is a great place for large family Gatherings It has been updated with 3 renovated bathrooms, kitchen & laundry room. It has ten foot ceilings on the main floor with beautiful original finished woodwork. Close to downtown and the Lake with only a short walk!

Mason City Charmer- 4 beds/2 bath

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. This home is a four bedroom, two bath two-story home with finish basement. Home features a cedar-lined all weather porch, hundred year-old hardwood floors, kitchen with Jen air convection oven, super fast wifi, oven, dishwasher, a dining room with extendable table and a desk. Living room features plush reclining furniture. This home is perfect for hosting working groups or families!

Lake Front Retreat

This fully furnished lake front cabin is located on South Shore in Clear Lake! It was updated (2017 & 2020) with gorgeous views of the lake. The cabin includes 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with sleeping arrangements for 10 people. This is the perfect retreat to enjoy the lake in the summer or a snowmobiling/ice fishing getaway in the winter. The property has 50 ft of shoreline with a dock for swimming and outdoor fire pit. Located on the river tucked away from traffic, very quiet and beautiful space. Newly constructed cabins in 2018 , with a bathroom and loft just added in the beginning of 2025. Includes 60 inch smart TV, Wi-Fi, cable tv and private laundry for those staying in cabins. Heated pool open from memorial day to labor day, and free to use during your stay. This cabin is sure to make your stay one to remember!

Baker's Corner is a historic farm 2 miles from downtown Clear Lake and the beach. The acreage sits amidst Iowa farmland but is only minutes from the tourist attractions of Clear Lake and the amenities of Mason City. This quiet, cozy, country home is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. We'll welcome you with a loaf of homemade bread and seasonal jam.
