The space

This cozy house is located a 5 minute walk to Crotched Mountain ski area with great hiking on off season. There is a full kitchen and living room area as well as half bath with laundry and one bedroom on first floor. The second floor includes one bedroom with two sets of twin bunkbeds, a full bath and a second bedroom with a single bed. There is a small screened in porch on the back of house which is very private and peaceful. On the front of the house is a large deck with acess to livingroom, kitchen and bedroom. The house includes washer, dryer and Gas Grill as well as all clean linens.

Very kid friendly with family Movies, Board games, puzzles and lincoln logs.

There are many things to do in the area which include Mount Monadnock (claimed to be the 2nd most climbed Mtn. in the world), golf, dining, horse back riding, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, shopping ect.

Two areas I would recommend looking at online is downtown Peterborough and downtown Keene. Peterborough is a very quaint town with places like The Peterborough Players Theater, Antique shops, Fine dining as well as Organic dining and Organic grocery store. There is an old fashioned movie theater and plenty of Arts. A local favorite is Harlow's Pub for drinks, food and music. The town of Keene is a favorite with a downtown full of small shops and restaurants where you can park and walk and enjoy indoor and outdoor dining along the way. Also lots of department store shopping. Keene is well known for its Pumpkin Festival in the fall which displays thousands of lit pumpkins.

There are lots of fairs and festivals throughout the different seasons. Such as the Hot Air Balloon Festival in nearby Hillsboro in July, The Cheshire Fair in August and The Spring Carnival right here at Crotched Mountain, just to name a few.

Also available is the use of three kayaks on beautiful Lake Monomonac which is a 35 minute drive away.

There are many things to do in the area so please ask any questions about what you and your family may be looking to do.

If you are looking for a place to just relax, you will enjoy a nice breeze through the house in summer and a beautiful sunset from the living room.

We welcome any questions and will get into more detail with any of your questions. Upon your arrival we will have avaiable maps and brochures on area attractions as well as hiking info and some area trail guides.

The house was spotless when we showed up and we were able to find everything inside with minimal assistance. The view from both porches of the sunset and sunrise were both incredible. There was a moose in the area that we could hear calling every morning and evening. There was plenty to do for hiking in the immediate area around the house on Crotchet mountain. Truly a wonderful stay in a place that had a very homey vibe to it. Would love to stay again.

This house is cozy and secluded. Perfect for a couple or a family get-together. The kitchen is stocked with all you need to cook - dishes, pans, basic food supplies. The washer and dryer are great for longer stays. The host quickly replies to texts. We loved it.

Adorable cabin in the woods with everything you could possibly need. I traveled with my husband, 8 month old, and dog and it was perfect for all of us. Dan is a great and welcoming host. Would recommend to anyone.

Great place to relax with your family/friends and to use as a jump off point for outdoor activities. Far enough away from everything to soak up the peace and quiet, but close enough to food, stores, and recreation. My family felt very comfortable in the house.
