The space

This 1 bedroom apartment is ideally located in the heart of Paris (Latin Quarter) on a high floor (with elevator) of a typical “Haussmanian” architecture building.

It has a lot of charm (terracotta tiled/ wooden floor, molding, fireplace – not working) with a minimalist/neutral décor but with stylish accents.

It is composed of:
- A large and bright open living room and dining room combined with floor to ceiling windows (double-pane/sound-proofed).
- A separate kitchen fully equipped (with everything you could need including microwave, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, separate dryer…)
- A full Bathroom with shower w/bathtub
- A separate Toilet room
- A separate Bedroom with a double-sized (160 cm / 63 in large)

What else?
- TV with main international news channel
- Blu-Ray/DVD player
- Internet Wi-Fi
- Free calls to US and Canada (Landline and Mobile) and many other Countries (Landline only - Please ask for more information).
- Controlled heating

Not far but away from the super busy/touristy areas, it is central to almost everything you could look for:

- Walking distance to main tourist attractions (Notre Dame, Ile Saint Louis, Sorbonne, Pantheon, Cluny Museum, Seine River…are at less than 5 min, Odeon and Saint Germain des Prés are at 10 min, Le Louvre and Le Marais at 15 min…)

- High density of local shops nearby with extensive opening hours. At less than 2 minutes walk you will find: several groceries shops (including bio), 4 bakeries, 2 butcheries, 1 cheese shop, 3 wines shops, many restaurants, coffees, bookshop … and a street market three times a week (Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday).

- Very easy access to transportation: 1 min walk from Maubert - Mutualité tube station (line 10). 5 min from Saint-Michel Notre-Dame station (RER line B – direct to Charles de Gaulle Airport and Gare du Nord - and RER line C – direct to Eiffel Tower and Chateau de Versailles). And a lot of bus lines stopping just by the building…

We loved our stay at Ghislain's place. It felt like a true Parisienne experience. Great markets were within a block, a Thursday and Saturday open air market provided fresh food for our stay. The Latin Quarter and much of central Paris was easily walkable, and the Metro was 1 min away for trips farther afield. Yes, the toilet is in its own small closet, but the apartment was a great place to explore Paris and all it has to offer. Everything in the apartment worked and it was great having a washer and dryer which cut down our packing.

This was a perfect location for us, and as someone who likes to cook, this kitchen was the best equipped of any I have ever had in Paris (even a food processor to make bread crumbs!) We really loved how easy it was to find any ingredient from the many top market and specialty stores.

Ghislain's centrally located house in the Latin Quarter is a great place for those wanting to explore Paris. It is well equipped and relatively quiet even though it is on a busy boulevard. It is close to everything and within a easy walk of the best parts of the Latin Quarter. Ghislain is a great and amazing host who is easy to communicate with and very helpful. With that said, people need to be aware that the toilet and the bedroom are a bit tight. So, if you area a larger person, this is probably not the place for you. With that little caveat, I strongly recommend that if you want to fully enjoy the Latin Quarter on a visit to Paris, you consider staying at Ghislain's home.

We didn't meet our host Ghislain, but was very good in communication, every question I had he answered right away. The located a very good, super markets right below flat, good restaurants all walking distance. Transit was near by as well. This was a nice place to stay, only thing to me is that the pictures showed looks a little more modern and upscale than in person. In person the flat is a little more run-down but as expected for older buildings. it was not a problem for us. My husband is a little on the bigger side so the separate room with just the toilet was a bit small for him. Over all it was a nice space for our trip to Paris.

Ghislain's apartment was exactly as advertised! Great location, and it was very clean and comfortable. The washer/dryer, wifi, and elevator all worked well and were very helpful accommodations. We didn't get a chance to meet Ghislain in person, but his communication was very clear and he was always quick to respond to any messages. We enjoyed our stay and would book this apartment again.

Beautiful apartment in the middle of the Latin Quarter, Paris. It is amongst a lively street/block but the double glazed windows block out the noise perfectly making it excellent for centrality but completely quiet inside. Highly recommend.

Having grew up and lived mostly in Paris area I have also spend several years abroad (U.S, UK, South Africa, Belgium). Anyhow I think I can be defined as a true "Parisian", not so much for the "mindset" part but more for the love I have for the City, enjoying more than anything t…
