Classic, turn-of-the-century, 1 bedroom, 75sqm/807sqf apartment with antique & modern furniture, hardwood floor & all modern amenities. Located in the calm & safe Embassy district right across Belvedere Palace, a few minutes walk from the Centre.
Traditional, 75 sqm/807 sqf classical apartment with high ceilings, carved double-winged doors, original hardwood parquet floor located on the first floor of a late 19th century/fin-de-siècle Viennese building evoking the Golden Age of the imperial city. Through a mélange of antique and contemporary furnishing, European and Oriental décor and a handsome collection of books and personal objects, the apartment has a uniquely cosy and homey atmosphere that will make you feel at home immediately and will provide you with a comfortable sanctuary away from home to relax. There are also two separate working spaces in case some work couldn't wait.
Both the house and the flat has recently been completely refurbished with all traditional elements carefully restored and complemented with modern amenities.
Guests have access to the entire flat (except a small storage room) consisting:
-a large living room with lounge and dining areas incl. a convertible sofa, a solid wood dining table seating 5 to 8, early 19 century carved Northern German secretaire, library wall, carved drink cabinet;
-a bedroom including a large twin bed fitting 2, a flatscreen tv and a study;
-a fully furbished and equipped breakfast kitchen;
-a bathroom with bathtub and washing machine;
-a separate toilet.
High-speed WIFI is available.
Interaction with guests
If I am in Vienna, I will be more than happy to greet you personally in the flat or even at the airport if required and provide you with information about the flat, the area and the city. Would this not be the case, a trusted friend of mine will be giving you the keys and show you around the flat.
In either case, I am more than happy to assist you by organising your stay in this city and to make sure that everything goes smoothly before and during your visit. I am available for any questions or enquiries - or a coffee/drink/walk if you fancy :-)
Feel free to talk to me in English, German, French, Arabic or Hungarian :)
Guests are provided with practical information about the city and there's also a small selection of Vienna-related books (guide books, listings, albums on Vienna architecture/artists) from which you're invited to borrow during your stay.
Since the flat is my own home, pets, parties, overnight visitors and smoking are not allowed. It's a very quiet residential house, therefore guests are kindly asked to observe the periods of rest (every day 6pm to 7am) and night's rest (every day 10pm to 6am) statutorily regulated by the City of Vienna.
I'm an German-Hungarian guy faffing around with his phd in politics. Prefer a late night drink to an early morning tea, spicy to blend food, broadsheet dailies to glossy magazines. I have a long-lasting love affair with my adopted home, Vienna, even if I need to leave her from time to time to appreciate her uniqueness :)
NB, that 'zs' in my name is pronounced as a French 'j', if you'd wonder :)
