Nestled at the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, a perfect location from which to explore the city’s stunning and diverse architecture, culture, history and lively night-life.
This newly refurbished and decorated apartment is situated at the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, on one of the city’s oldest streets. The Grassmarket is just round the corner and the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle are only a few minutes’ walk away.
The A Listed building was completed in 1729 and while most of the buildings on the street were demolished in the early 19th century, this and a handful of the other 17th and 18th century structures remain. Both Edinburgh’s Old and New Towns were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995.
The apartment has one double with a real, comfortable bed. The living room has a sofa bed increasing the capacity to four guests. Fresh bed linen is provided.
The living room is equipped with a Freeview TV; a DVD player with a selection of movies; a CD player and a wireless internet connection is available throughout at no extra charge. The room also contains a dining table and space to seat four.
There is plenty of storage space in the apartment even for a long stay.
The new kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and cereal and milk are provided should you require a quick breakfast. Always available are a selection of teas; a cafetiere (French press) with ground coffee and a Nespresso machine with complimentary coffee pods.
The bathroom has an electric shower and a bath. Towels, soap, shampoo and shower gel are provided.
The apartment is equipped with mains powered smoke and heat detectors as well as a fire extinguisher in the hallway, a fire blanket in the kitchen and a comprehensive first aid kit.
The entire apartment is available to guests. Ther property is accessed through a private courtyard off the street then through the secure entry system of the building’s main door.
Interaction with guests
I will personally welcome you to the apartment and will be available to answer as many of your questions as I can via the AirBnB site or App as well as by text and telephone. As an Edinburgh resident I can offer detailed local knowledge to ensure that you make the most of your stay in the city.
Rule number one is ‘Have a great time.’ I want you to feel at home and treat the apartment, fittings and furniture as you would your own. There are other residents in the building so I would be grateful if noise is kept to a respectful level. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment but guests can smoke in the courtyard providing their litter is disposed of appropriately.
