About this listing

Lovely room overlooking Jackie Robinson Park. Apple TV in the room. Lofted bed with desk and "lofted" nightstand.
Shared big kitchen, bathroom, living room.

Shared with myself and my fiancé Pete.

Decemb(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) is a reduced rate because there will be two extra dogs in the apartment that we are watching for friends of ours. FOUR big doggies total. It's a lot, so it's a reduced rate. But you are welcome to join us for puppy Christmas.

The space

We are tidy but we aren't freaks about it. We think we are pretty nice. My mom says I'm pretty funny.
This apartment has 2 lovely friendly pups so you must enjoy puppy cuddles on the sofa. That's is a requirement. You won't be asked to care for the dogs. Just be okay with their presence and their (likely) excitement over seeing you when you come in. We also have a cat called Sir Patrick Checkerston Esq III. He has a very fancy name but he is a super laid back cat. I guess you'd have to be with two dogs for siblings.

Guest access

You can go anywhere except our bedroom and any locked cabinets are (obviously, I should think) off limits.

Interaction with guests

We are more than happy to interact with you!

Kt was a great host, she was always happy to chat and gave us the freedom to come and go whenever we pleased. The binge-watching of Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman was a personal highlight and the pets will be sorely missed.

A really convenient location (3min walk to the subway) for great value! Kt made consistent effort to ensure that the check-in process was smooth.

KT's apartment is very well located, a few meters from a supermarket and the subway station which easily connects to the rest of the city. The bedroom is small but cozy and confortable, they knew how to get the best from it. KT was responsive and she offered us coffee every morning. She helped us with everything we asked her. She was a great host, she showed us the great views from the top roof and we lit some fireworks for the new years eve :) thanks KT for everything. We deeply recommend staying at her place!

KT was a great host!! Her apartment is big by NYC standards. It's very chill & laid back but also cozy. I admired the way KT set up the bedroom (it's very well designed for a small space yet you don't feel claustrophobic). You'll definitely enjoy the view from your bedroom window it's simply breathtaking! I enjoyed the Sugar Hill area of Harlem so much that I'm thinking of moving up there from the UES. Her animals are super friendly & will put a smile on your face! I loved eating breakfast (there's a sun lamp near the dining table & KT puts on the sound machine...I thought there were real birds singing outside) it really lifts your spirits! There's so much to do & see in Sugar Hill & Harlem so if you're looking for an adventure...this place is perfect for you!

Had a really really lovely time with Kt and her posse. The home is a real home, very cozy and comfy with lots of details. Kt was very hospitable and I very much enjoyed her stories, experience insights and life experience. She just left me to it and I was very comfortable being in the space with her. Her casa is not just a place where you can put your bags, it's a home and I really appreciated that. In terms of amenities I had access to everything I needed and more. The posse aka the feline and canine furry friends aka Gali, Killi and Patrick added so much to my experience..Too cute and very entertaining, Patrick the cat in particular. They gawgeous.. Loved the location as well. Fast train, supermarket and pharmacy all within 5 minutes walking distance from Kt's house. I love Harlem. It has so many real gems. Lots of people make their way down only but just a few blocks up, the whole scenery changes. There you find the homes of Billy, Cassandra, Duke, George Washington. The Audubon Ball room, where Malcolm X was assassinated. Some castle type places, and some old school colonial houses. The architecture of the houses is diverse, the streets wider the vibe so different. Extra special mention for the Cloisters uptown, and the Brahman Yoga studio were you find a high quality Vinyasa flow class in a beautiful loft for $8 only and they offer donation based classes as well. Both were Kt's recommendations. All in all I had a great time. When I booked it I wasn't sure. The price was a bit too good to be true. Airbnb, but I am so glad I went for it, I had a great experience.
