Walk everywhere! Our c. 1940 apartment is among the closest accommodations to the Walnut St. Pedestrian bridge, Aquarium, shops and restaurants on Frazier. (3/10 mi.)
Walk everywhere or catch the free trolley close by. Get a taste of Downtown Chattanooga! Aretha Frankenstein's restaurant (Diners, Dives & Drive-Ins) is literally right up the street, a one minute walk.
Seasonal notes: Labor Day weekend, three night minimum. Iron Man weekends, three night minimum.
You really can walk anywhere! Our quaint and simply furnished 1940s apartment has charming details in its brick structure, old oak trees, wood foyer, built in glass cabinetry and close proximity to the city. We are on the top floor of a four unit complex, one third of a mile from the blue walking bridge. When you step out onto the street you can see the Walnut Street Bridge. The apartment has new carpet, soothing paint colors, one bedroom, one bathroom, eat in kitchen, and living room with two sofas and a reading chair. Our guests love the uncluttered feel. One sofa folds down to make a double bed, but is probably only big enough for one adult. Sheets are provided for futon and sofa, and our sofa is quite comfy.
There is an original cast iron drainboard sink in the kitchen, and lots of charm. Breakfast by the sunny kitchen window is lovely. Aretha Frankenstein's is literally across the street, and if you don't eat breakfast there, well, that will be unfortunate. Delicious!
As with many spaces this age, the apartment is simple and quaint. If your requirement is new and luxury finishes, this may not be your vibe.
Our guests have found our space "charming", as do we. Our street is in an older, but hip and trendy residential area, with tree-lined streets, old stone carriage houses, and quirky shops and eateries scattered nearby. There are runners, bikers, walkers around a lot, as the city is just steps away.
The apartment will be very clean and comfortable with towels and linens. However, remember that this apartment does not have a dishwasher.
The apartment sleeps four`comfortably, with a queen in the master and a foldout futon in the living room, as well as a sofa.. We will not accept reservations for more than four people, and the space is more ideal for a family of four; two adult couples would be too crowded :)
Restaurants close : Aretha Frankenstein's (you must go), Taco Mamacita, Milk and Honey, Taco Nooga, Sushi Nabe, Stone Cup Coffee, Spill the Beans Coffee Truck, Totto Sushi, Beast and Barrell , Revelator Coffee, Poblanos, Foodworks, Root.
Go have a massage right down the street at Massage Envy, literally at the end of our street where Tremont meets Frazier Avenue. Or have a day of beauty after your massage, by visiting Aveda Bridge Salon. Coolidge Park is nearby and the locals hang out there by the river. Pack a picnic lunch and see what Chattanooga is really all about hanging out at Coolidge and going to Clumpies for ice cream, or Tapas at Terra Nostra. We have mostly local restaurants nearby, so you can really experience what Chattanooga is doing with cuisine.
Need to work out? Workout Anytime is walkable and you can pay for a daily visit there or do the same at the local YMCA nearby.
Crossing the walking bridge, you will be close to the Tennessee Aquarium, the Chattanooga riverfront, The Hunter Museum, and the artist district, with many shops and museums and restaurants.
Chattanooga has recently added an excellent bike path within the city that you can access. We also have a bikeshare program with kiosks throughout the city. Use your credit card to unlock a bike for the day and ride to wherever you like and drop off the the kiosk most convenient for you. Ride too far? Drop the bike and Uber back to the cozy apartment or take the free Shuttle with multiple stops throughout Downtown .
You will love seeing everything that Chattanooga has to offer and then some! Enjoy the apartment upon your return.

When you consider Chattanooga, you may want to research the part of town you stay in; Northshore Chattanooga is more residential, and high rent- high property values due to the excellent schools. It is an area where you can comfortably walk around day or night, near quaint shops on Frazier Avenue, a Publix Grocery less than a mile, and bike trails and restaurants.
