I instant booked this place as it was the only option available. Shortly after the host messaged me and said the place was unavailable. My request was not cancelled by the host though and many days later offered me one night the day before my original booking request. It took over 2 weeks to get my money refunded.

Jo-ann graciously accepted our booking at very little notice during peak tourist time in Edinburgh. Although she was out of town, she arranged for a welcome person to hand over the keys and she remained in contact by msg. The apartment is small and would only suit one person or a couple. It is central to Leith and 40 minutes walk to Edinburgh old town. Close to several cafes, pubs and take outs. Flat is on the first floor so only need to hike suitcases up one flight of stairs. I enjoyed staying in the old apartment and thank Jo Ann for a pleasant stay.

Great value for money. The flat had all the amenities one could wish for and more. The host Jo Ann was easy going and the whole stay went smoothly.

The small flat is clean and comfortable inside but the first impression wasn't good, expecially because of the outside and the communal entrance of the building. Inside, there is anything you could need and even more... just look for it. We could sleep well because the beds are good and traffic slows down a lot during the nigth. Busses, shops and many nice places are really easy to reach.

We had a great stay in Edinburgh and Jo-Ann's apartment. The apartment was very cozy and well stocked. Jo-Ann provided us with everything we needed including power adapters, towels, linen and kitchen essentials. The building is a bit old, but it didn't bother us at all since the apartment and all of its facilities are great. Overall, the apartment was exactly what we expected and we are very glad. The location of the apartment was great for our needs. It is very well connected to all parts of Edinburgh via bus and it was not difficult to get around, whether by foot or by bus. There are many shops close to the apartment, and lovely coffee places and restaurants near by. It took us about 30 minutes walking leisurely to reach the town center, and much less when taking the bus. We are glad we stayed in Leith because we got to see this interesting and lively part of Edinburgh. The apartment fulfilled our needs and expectations. Jo-Ann provided us with a manual for the apartment which was very helpful. Jo-Ann was available for any questions we had and communication with her was very easy and nice. She responded timely to all our questions and was very welcoming. We are very glad we chose this apartment and fully recommend it.

Thanks to Jo-Ann for the kind, helpful communication before arrriving. Same for the communication while our staying. Although she wasn´t in town, there were no difficulties of getting in touch with her (i.e. questions) via e-mail or phone. Everything worked quite well. The flat itself was clean and fully equiped, even a little bit more like this: There was huge range of food and things around that it seemed like someone gave way because of our booking... However, we liked it, had a great time in Edinbugh and can reccommend to stay there.

We had a really nice time in Edinburgh! Joanna is very friendly and quick in responding to messages, the flat is lovely and clean, and there were a lot of practical things present, like tea, herbs, maps, information folders and a travel plug. The flat is located in Leith, not to far from the city center (and close to lots of buses that go in that direction anyway), and we made a few evening walks through the harbor area. Would definitely recommend.

We are travellers and hosts.

We are in to the music, (playing piano and guitar) and movies.
We both love good classical cinema, from Hollywood, to Japan!
Since 30's until present, from the first silent, black& white films, to the current 'special effects'.

We both open minded and interested other cultures and countries, which we try to explore by world cinema, hosting people and through travelling.

We also try to care about The Planet, by eco-friendly living, minimum waste, recycling etc.

We are admirers of nature and animals!

We hope to meet you soon :)
