Janet's place is very convenient to the Hollywood bowl, where we attended a concert. Also it is walkable to the center of Hollywood and has a nice view overlooking the town. Janet is a very accomplished woman in international negotiations. Be sure to visit her before she is off on another adventure! She is also a great host and you will enjoy staying with her.

If you're looking for a place to stay in the Hollywood area and looking to do so at a person's home that makes you feel welcome before you even pull up to the house...this is the place. Janet's home is located in a perfect spot to get around to anything Hollywood and more. I have never been to the West Coast, never used Airbnb prior to this trip and I can say that it was a fantastic decision. My check in time was on the fly because i was coming from Dana Point and had just dropped off my fiancee for her return home. I made a detour to se more of Cali and told Janet that Id be (URL HIDDEN) issues with that at all and even invited me to a get together at her home that night if I could make it. We never met and to have a stranger offer this to someone from across that country just showed me her kindness and willingness to welcome me to her world/home ask id feel like i fit in from that start. The room i had was clean, my own bathroom with great water pressure. The bed was comfortable and very unique, the picture doesn't do it justice. Parking was no issue and she has several spots to utilize. She offered to make coffee daily and although i chose to just go about my day i still appreciated her offers. Her scones were delicious. Walking distance to Hollywood Blvd..10 minutes. Hollywood Bowl 10 minutes and this was a place to definitely visit. I came and went at any hour of the day and after closing the bars on West Hollywood showed up at (URL HIDDEN) issues. I of course showed courtesy by being quiet but it was a non issue. You just feel welcomed in her home. Her stories of her life are worth listening to and she likes to reciprocate by hearing about your life as well. I met some cool people at her home and missed some other opportunities since i was touring LA but just hearing about them added to the trip. Her home is just that , a home. its lived in , no fake things, only rule no shoes in the house. I appreciated that and one time i forgot and had to sneak down stairs to take them off lol. Respect the host, she's worth it. take the time to talk her and hear her tales. She leads a cool life. My experience at her home was awesome. The view off the deck of the city was excellent. The ability to just walk in, fit in and feel like you are at a lifetime friends house was priceless. The price for my location was unreal. She gets it, makes it easy for you.....take advantage of her place if you can. Janet was great. My trip was great. My initial experience with airbnb was great. Go here and enjoy Janet's company...you'll leave with a lot of...

Janet is a very sweet and smart woman who is a lot of fun to talk with and her house is really a gem in an amazing neighborhood that has a bird's-eye view of the canyon, Hollywood, and downtown Los Angeles. It really is spectacular. A short walk brings you to the famous Yamashiro Restaurant, also with amazing views. You can't go wrong staying here.

Staying with Janet was an amazing experience! Janet was so warm and welcoming, and full of information about the neighborhood and LA at large, that it really made our trip that much better. Her home is a five minute walk from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with easy access to the Metro, and anything/everything beyond is an accessible Uber ride away if you don't feel like renting a car. Location wise, you really can't do better. If you are looking to visit LA, I would 100% recommend staying in the Hills with Janet. Beautiful home, amazing vista views, cozy bed, and great company with stellar stories. I will also add, that the photos of the views from her home do not do it justice. Janet - thank you for having us stay with you. It was a joy, and next time I'm in town, you are my first stop.

Janet is one of those people in life that you just randomly walk into your life and leaves a mark on you. Her personality, her home, and least of all her back view is amazing. Every single part of this woman that you get to know is wonderful. It was super clean and she had everything I forgot to pack as well. I would of paid what I paid just to spend time with her. She's one in a million this one and you'll have a one in a million experience. P.S her scones are s(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) good. 11/10 would stay again. 10/10 for her and the extra one for the bed.

Response from Janet:
Brenden is a gem! He is polite, kind and generous with his knowledge. My internet was wonky and he took the time to show me how to reset it. I am a tech know nothing - at least I was! Now I can reset a router. Don't be fooled by Brenden's picture - this man doesn't belong in a doghouse - he is a king!!

I am an individual with a diverse history. I speak a smattering of languages, most of them badly,. I've lived in China, Cairo, Siberia, Austria and during peace talks in Sudan and Kenya. I love chocolate, darker the better. I'm a storyteller - it's the Irish in me. My favorite move is Steven Spielberg's "Empire of the Sun" because I'm in it. met him while living in Shanghai. Love people. Have been involved in international politics - peace talks and stuff forever.
