Relax or join in. Adventure, variety, style, and fun aboard a classic vessel that attracts the attention and admiration of all who see her!

The space

Launched at Nyborg, Denmark, on the 18th June,1900, Rhea is a top sail schooner, built of oak on oak. She was originally carrying stone and rock, but nowadays she combines modern comforts, such as air conditioning, with the splendours and romance of a traditional sailing ship.

Rhea has RIB dinghy with a new 50 hp Evinrude outboard. She is equipped for swimming, snorkelling, water skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, windsurfing, stand up paddle boarding, fishing, and the famous "yard swinging".

Below decks Rhea is attractively panelled throughout in pine with teak fittings and oak beams. There is a spacious saloon with a lounging area and beautiful teak dining table. The guest cabins each have air conditioning plus en-suite toilet, shower and handbasin. The aft cabin has a double and single bunk, the focs'le has a double and 'pullman' single, and the port and starboard cabins can be either doubles or twins. For parties of more than 8 guests, a further double or twin cabin can be made available on request.

Rhea's large deck area offers a teak dining table and ample space for sunbathing on full length mattresses. The use of sun awnings and sails gives the choice of shade. Many guests love sleeping under the stars on deck.... magic !!

Interaction with guests

Rhea’s professional crew work as a team to help you do as much or as little as you like. They know the cruising areas intimately, they serve wonderful food and wine, and they can help with a variety of water sports - swimming, snorkelling, waterskiing, wake boarding, canoeing, windsurfing, stand up paddling, fishing, and the famous "yard swinging".

Other things to note

The price is for the exclusive use of the vessel by one group, please contact us for more details of what is included, thank you.

Food on board is delicious, healthy, and wholesome, prepared from locally sourced fresh ingredients. Special dietary requirements can be catered for. Meals are prepared for the guests as required. All provisions, including alcohol, are charged for at cost so that we can prepare and serve whatever the guests require.

Guests are asked to bring soft baggage as large rigid cases are difficult to store.

The wifi is via a SIM card "mifi" router and is charged at cost to the quests. There are excellent wifi facilities in many restaurants, bars and cafes ashore.
