Everything was as expected except for the door to my cabin had a terrible lock which made opening my cabin very difficult.

A good place in the heart of Manhattan. But a little bit noisy because all the rooms are separated by wood walls and open ceilings in a big hall.

This is my second time staying at Bowery House - I LOVE it! It has a hostel environment, but with individual "cabins" instead of shared rooms. Room walls are merely privacy partitions, so as people describe, you hear EVERYTHING. You have to be an easy traveler and comfortable in hostel environments with constant ambient noise to enjoy it here. Very lively, clean, affordable place to hang your head in the city that never sleeps!

Just what I needed for my one day trip! I appreciated the quiet, and everything is clean. When I make another trip to the city, I'll stay there if my trip is under 2 days or I don't plan on being inside often.

NEVER AGAIN! This is not for everyone. "Rooms" are rather a cubicle of 1,90mts x 1,50. It is perfect if you want to have a miserable jail experience. Nothing to do with many places in NYC where you pay less and get a decent room, this place is not even for backpackers. The terrace is ok! Wifi did not really work efficiently, the location is ok but I would rather stay in Brooklyn, Queens, etc, pay less and enjoy a better place. They must show pictures of the "cabins", bet they would go 20% occupation every night. Good luck in business! I am happy I left today and will never be back there.
