I reserved Hans' place for Gene, my son. Vincent, my husband, went with Gene. Here is the review provided by Vincent.
I chose Han's place because the convenient distance from the summer internship office of Gene. It was mainly a "filler" for the 5 days which are not available at another Airbnb listing that I reserved for the later 78 days of the internship period. At the time I didn't pay too much attention to prior reviews and didn't realize that Gene would be the first guest of this listing.
I am very glad that it turned out to be a very nice place. Hans is a music teacher at San Juan College. In addition, he is very close to his family members in town and provided helps to them during the time when we were there. He has a busy schedule, nevertheless he is open to discussion and make accommodations for our needs.
The house is in a very nice neighborhood above hills, is quiet yet very convenient to stores and restaurants within 5 min. driving. House is clean. Bath tub has sliding glass doors, easy to maintain tidiness. The bedroom is right next to the bathroom, which is adjacent to the study room where the wireless router resides. WiFi signal is strong. Gene also has a desktop PC which only has Ethernet connection. Hans was flexible to let Gene make adjustments to his router location so Gene can get Internet via a 25 foot network cable through the hallway.
Kitchen and living room are nearby and convenient to use, while Hans’ master bedroom is on the other side of the house. We were able to freely use all the open area and all kitchenware. The sofa in living room can turn into a good size sofa bed for additional guests. Hans also took me to Durango airport for a reasonable price, it was extremely helpful for my trip.
I will highly recommend Hans’ house for others.
