The space

Our property is set on 100 acres in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Once you arrive, you'll hate to leave! Rooms are quaint and cozy. Looking for a private room, we have it. If you do have a large group, we have rooms to accommodate.

Guest access

Access to the Pub is 24/7. TVs and honor bar. Take a hike on the property. Relax in the screened in porch, on the deck or by the pond.

Interaction with guests

We can have as much interaction as you desire. If you want to spend time with us, we love making new friends. If you prefer quiet time on your own, we absolutely respect that.

Other things to note

WiFi is available, however, even though we have the most data available, it's slow at best. Good for email and social media surfing but definitely no Netflix. Best signal is in and around the pub.

We stayed at Dina's place while down for my son's graduation from Virginia Tech, and Dina's place was so peaceful and beautiful! Our hosts were so personable and accommodating with questions we had, as well as, with providing breakfast when it was convenient for our family. Even though it rained most of the time we were there, we were able to gather right under the roof of the lodge, in the pub, and in the screened in porch around the wood stove. My family and I were able to share moments together, as well as, with our hosts and others staying at Dina's place. Furthermore, the pups were so precious and friendly, and my whole family loved playing with each of them. I would recommend Dina's place to all of my friends. Thank you, Dina for sharing your establishment with us!

This is a lovely site, tucked back in the Jefferson National Forrest in the New River Valley. That was a delightful surprise to me as I was primarily looking for cheap overnight housing. Got to enjoy an early morning walk with friendly pet dogs for good companions. The bedding is very simple accommodations but plenty clean and the breakfast in the lodge was ample and the facility expansive. Don't miss the little shop with many very desirable and unique outdoor supplies. DO communicate before you get into the forrest as phone service is not available in the last several miles (at least not with A.T&T.. maybe Verizon) have your directions clear and try to arrive before dark (no street lights!). The landmark church however will reassure and enable you not to miss it.

Our stay in Catawba was amazing, thanks to Dina! My college organization of 16 young adults were scrambling to find a place to stay for a retreat, and the 2 large shared rooms were perfect! We were able to all bond in the pub and stay up late with each other without (we hope) disturbing other guests and the host. It was exactly what we needed for our event and it was in a beautiful location. We also loved the dogs walking around freely and breakfast in the morning! Thank you, and we will be recommending it to other organizations at NC State!
