Chimney Ridge is nestled in the heart of Tennessee. Our luxurious log cabin is the perfect get away for those who want the excitement of Pigeon Forge & the honky-tonk of Gatlinburg, while still being able to enjoy the serenity of the Smoky Mtn Park.

The space

As you make your way through the winding roads of Wears Valley the panoramic views are only the beginning of your adventure. Upon entering the gated community of Dogwood Farms, the beauty of the natural surroundings are only surpassed by your arrival at our home, Chimney Ridge.

The first thing that will catch your eye is the beautifully sculptured Rock Chimney, a welcome sight on those cool mountain nights. Tall windows bring the outside in… allowing you to awaken to all of Mother Nature's beauty each morning. True to its local roots, many of Chimney Ridge's furnishings are purchased from local craftsmen with an added touch of modern appointments to make your stay memorable.

The Cabin boasts three bedrooms with more than enough space for 10 to sleep! Dual master bedrooms have hand-built and sculpted log beds that compliment the theme of the cabin. Both masters have their own bathrooms with walk in shower and granite countertop sinks. On the lower level you will find another cozy bedroom retreat with a custom-builtin bunk beds that was designed to the theme of a local show. Parent, rest assured that we had the bunk beds over engineered with safety in mind. The ladders have extra large steps and the framing of the beds have been integrated into the cabin walls to give extra strength and support.

After a day of hiking or exploring the local area, our game room, complete with a pool table or a dip in the hot tub is a great way to unwind. Chimney Ridge Cabin offers two large living areas, one on the main level and the second on the lower floor. The main level features a large Plasma TV with satellite service, because sometimes when you get away, you still need to catch your favorite team or TV show. As the saying goes, “With a hundreds of channels, there's still nothing on TV", but not to worry, because there is always something for everyone in the entertainment chest. There you will find over 60 movies that are sure to please.

The full size kitchen is furnished with all the necessities needed to make a succulent meal. The dining table is just steps away from the kitchen and is surrounded by windows so you can take in the view while you're enjoying your meal. We even have a charcoal grill if you would like to throw on a hearty steak.

This exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The host communicated clearly and accurately and was easily accessible by email/text. The cabin was beautiful as were the views. We will be back.

Our group of nine ages 5-72 and including 5 adults and 4 kids loved our time here. We definitely didn't feel crowded (except for the bathroom on the bottom floor with the bunk-beds...that's the only place...we had 4 kids/2 adults staying on that floor and using that one bathroom which is a smaller bathroom...but we made it and would still go again!). The kids loved the bunk-beds as expected. We enjoyed the porch swings a lot. It is a very quiet location (except for the occasional car that goes by on the road right out front...very light traffic though). It is quite dark at night which was great for viewing stars. My kids said it was the most stars they have ever seen (we live in a city). We had a short trip and had planned to go, go, go in Pigeon Forge, but we ended up loving just staying at the cabin for the day and relaxing, playing games, talking, etc. It was only a 15 minute drive to the Dixie Stampede (we loved it!). I have stayed in places with better views of the mountains, but for the money, quiet of this place, and atmosphere of the cabin, this was definitely a great choice. Hot tub was great. Two slight drawbacks for you to consider: 1) the kids couldn't really run around outside...not much of a yard or area nearby to explore (think I failed to realize that beforehand). So, if you are wanting to just send your kids outside and let them roam (and burn off the excitement of being at such a cool AirBnB), this place won't be the best (but maybe all places in the mountains are like that???). Nevertheless, we had so much fun doing all the other indoor things, that it was fine overall. 2) the bottom floor has the bunk-beds for kids and then one smaller bedroom that has no windows. The main floor and very top floor both have a large, very nice bedroom on each of them (each attached to a bathroom). However, I didn't feel comfortable being that far from my kids (and the bunk-beds area has a door directly to outside). So, my husband and I ended up in the smaller, dark bedroom downstairs and sharing the bathroom with the kids (you have to walk through their sleeping area to get to the bathroom). So, that layout part isn't my favorite, but again, it was fine overall, I slept great, and I would recommend the place.

Hi Elizabeth, thank you for the review. I think the GPS may have taken you through that back side entrance of the community which happens. The main entrance is a very easy drive through and its not steep at all. it has Dogwood farms sign on the front with two stone columns on the entrance. i to scrap on that side entrance when i take it and its not very safe to go from that back entrance.

Great View! Nice space. I wasn't able to connect the blue-ray to internet to watch Netflix but no big deal. One of the rooms does not have a tv, and another does not have its own bathroom. The kid's room is very spacious and fun. Over all great value and I am grateful that I was able to find such a nice place in a short amount of time.

This place was amazing! Great location near both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The views were spectacular, the home was beautiful and the motorcycle riding was bar none the best we've done so far! No garage for our bikes, but we didn't have any problem parking 8 motorcycles in this driveway. Highly recommend for any riding or family vacations in the area.

My family greatly enjoyed our getaway at the cabin. Extremely clean, very spacious, beautiful home and scenery, secluded yet within 20 mins of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. We loved not having to clean up or do dishes before leaving. The hot tub was sooo relaxing. Would highly recommend to anyone, and would stay there again!

This cabin fully measured up to the beautiful description and pictures in the listing. The view is amazing and you are a short mountain drive down to Pigeon Forge. One minor difficulty was dealt with swiftly and communication was excellent. Highly recommended.
