My friends and I stayed at Rachelle's house while attending a wedding nearby. Rachelle was prompt in her communications and offered helpful tips on where to go and what to do in the neighborhood. The house was lovely and though we didn't have time to hang out in the backyard, the pool looked like the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon!

Rachelle's home is charming and has everything you need in East Hampton. Rachelle was super responsive and accommodating with the check-in/check-out process as well as with any questions that came up over the course of our stay. The cost is also very affordable for this neighborhood, especially in high season. I would absolutely stay here again. And who could forget - the pool is spectacular!

This was our first trip out to East Hampton with a small group of close friends. We found the location of the house was a great vicinity to town, giving us opportunity to run to the grocery store or take a short cab ride for a dinner out. The house itself was a great fit for the group, except the downstairs futon that we were planning to use for a bed was a bit too small for an adult to sleep on which I wish was noted in the review. The kitchen/living room area was a great space for chatting while making lunches and dinners. There was outdoor space which unfortunately we weren't able to use due to the weather. We did try to use the grill one afternoon but it wouldn't light for some reason or another. The pool was great, the owners had a brand new liner put in before our arrival and with the sun shining on the water we were able to spend majority of our days outdoors. The biggest concern was the rodent problem. The back yard was covered in holes about every 12" and much to our surprise we had mice visitors often popping their heads out while we were in the pool during our stay. Unfortunately we were also awoken to the pitter patter of rodents on the roof above one of the bedrooms on the main floor. That said we ensured we kept food shut tight and took the garbage out every day to avoid any creatures inside the home. I'm very surprised to see this wasn't mentioned in any other reviews this summer. Midway through our stay the toilet in the bathroom stopped flushing properly. When I reached out to the owner to let her know she said she would have someone look into it. We waited that entire day for a plumber to stop by which never happened so we weren't able to use one of the toilets for the rest of our stay. Besides that and having supplies such as paper towels and toilet paper not stocked the trip overall was a success.

Response from Rachelle:
Only upon leaving our home you mentioned a rodent problem after staying almost an entire week. We have rented out the house all summer, have maintenance, landscapers, pool guy and no one has ever reported this issue. When I checked in with you during the stay, that would have been a good time to tell me. After talking to each of my maintenance crew members and confirming no such issue, I had a pest control stop by just to be on the safe side. As for paper products, we keep it stocked. If something runs out, guests can always reach out and we will follow up immediately. We pride ourselves in customer service, I just wish you would have addressed this things with me so I could have done a better job at making your stay more fulfilling.

A nice cottage hidden in the woods. The house is a little bit old, but we really enjoyed our stay. Only ten minutes from the beach.

We had a great stay at Rachelle's place and would love to come back. The house is great and the garden is wonderful. You can relax by the pool or enjoy the quiet by sitting on the porch. The area is very peaceful and easy to get to.
