This two-room suite upstairs offers spacious comfort in an airy setting. One room has seating for 3-4 guests and a queen-sized bed with mattress topper. The adjoining smaller room offers a gorgeous handmade twin-sized daybed. There is a connecting door between the two rooms. This is the perfect option for a trio traveling together. (I also have an extra twin-sized mattress should you want to add a 4th person.) The two-room suite shares a bathroom with another guest room.

My home is a perfect spot from which to enjoy the amenities of the Kennebunk/Kennebunkport area.
I have a lovely 1902 updated New Englander with wide pine floors and cheery colors. I live in a very unique area of older homes which have been moved here. It is a very quiet neighborhood. My home is yours when you are here as a guest!
You are welcome to share the large common rooms, screened back porch, outdoor Adirondack chairs under the shade trees, etc. You can store your things in the frig while you're here...use the ice for your picnics, etc.
Sleeping arrangements for this listing....
This is a suite of two rooms. The larger offers a queen-sized bed, and the other has a lovely daybed twin. The second floor rooms are bright, nicely decorated, and you will feel as though you're in a nice hotel or bed and breakfast. See my other listing for the second bedroom (#1) availability. Both the upstairs bedrooms share a separate spacious bath in the hall. My home is 3 miles from K'port, an easy ride by bikes, or even a healthy walk. It is located in a private country setting. At night you can hear sounds of nature that you wouldn't hear in town! This past summer we had wild turkey families parading around the large side lawn.
Come and experience southern Maine! Our beaches are lovely, our seafood is delicious and affordable, and a variety of outstanding restaurants abound.
Sorry, we are a pet-free and smoke-free home for everyone's comfort.
I provide fresh coffee, orange juice, and bottled water in the AM. If you're here in the summer, I can also provide you with great beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers for your ventures to the beautiful local beaches! And bring your bikes and kayaks. You can store them in the garage while you're off exploring in your car.
I will provide you with maps of the areas, and can give you many suggestions for restaurants, shops, etc.
Guests can use my frig. My kitchen is not available for cooking, but my microwave is available for use.
All common areas downstairs (two living rooms, breakfast area, screened porch, etc.)are yours to share with me or other guests.
Interaction with guests
I am a conversationalist, have been a tour director for students to Spanish-speaking countries, so I love to share what I know about our southern Maine areas. I also try to leave my guests alone. I am in and out....

When you arrive, I will provide you with a "Considerations" listing. I don't really consider them "rules" per se....just things you'd like everyone to do if they're staying in your home.
I am a Spanish teacher in a private school in Boston. I live in Boston during the school year, and then happily retreat to my lovely country home near Kennebunkport where I spend summers. It is a sanctuary as you will see if you stay with me. I know the area well, as I have been here for over 24 years. I catch up on reading in the summer, head for the many beaches with local friends, and frequently eat out or take something to the beach and watch the sunsets. I travel a lot to Spanish-speaking countries where I brush up on the language, customs, and people that make my teaching special.
