Nice place to stay...Eve and Eric were hugely welcoming. It is an unusual place as the photos show, lots of interesting animals also. Great location.

Eve and Eric are a prime example of why we LOVE airbnb! We arrived at their home and they treated us like long lost friends. Eric took his day off to show us his favorite walks in the Black Mountains and it was a delightful day! We had our own personal tour guide! We were lucky to be there on a holiday! Eve adds the special touches to everything she does. Breakfast was beautiful, freshly baked warm breads and croissants, fresh squeezed orange juice, a variety of fruits, specialized cheeses and ham, and of course coffee and tea! She even offered to make us eggs! At the end of the day, she provided local wines and olives from Spain. Add to this the beautiful city of Carcossonne right on your doorstep. We can't thank Eve and Eric enough for a lovely visit.

What a delightful host who gave us a genuine warm welcome. Eve (the host) confirmed our booking and made agreeable arrangements to meet us from outside a local supermarket/petrol station. This was just as well as the road from the nearby roundabout was mostly along a gravel (level) single carriageway road of about 1 km. The house was very nice and secure which we fell in love with it. Our room had a very large and comfortable bed with fantastic furnishings. Breakfast was a real treat. We would not hesitate to stay again if we are in this area again.

Eve and Eric were such welcoming hosts, they made us feel so comfortable and certainly went above our expectations. A most beautiful breakfast in the garden with more than I hoped for.. Certainly would recommend chez Eve to everyone, will be visiting again... Superb location for the historical city and castle..

Visiting Eve and Eric was quite simply a wonderful experience. They are two lovely people, who entertained and made me feel welcome from the very first moment. It was an honour to be a guest in their home. These two wonderfully independent and inspiring people have renovated what was a derelict mediaeval building, into a charming home, perfect for entertaining interesting guests from around the world. After meeting, we sat and drank and chatted at the bar of their wonderful main living space. I was then treated to a tour of the home they have created, obviously with love, passion and sweat, just the two of them together. They live amidst an abundance of wild-life including numerous cats, dogs, chickens and bees (for the most part outside). But inside this place is amazingly spotless and clean. The upstairs rooms have wonderful light, all the expected modern conveniences, but still keeping the mediaeval atmosphere alive. The breakfast they prepared was lavish, varied, and tasty, using many home-prepared food items. There was enough food to feed an army. For the entire stay, I was treated as a special guest, who I now consider as friends. I look forward to returning to visit again.

Eve and Eric were generous and warm hosts. They opened their home and hearts to us. Great welcome (thanks for the pick up and drop off to train station and town!) and wow what a delicious breakfast..with many homemade items by Eve..Hmm yummy fig jam. A true countryside experience. Exactly was we needed when we visited Carcassonne for the medieval and Christmas fetes. The accommodation was unique and added to our medieval themed weekend. We had a beautifully decorated and spacious room and a super comfy bed. Couldn't ask for more..well maybe some playtime with Holly the dog or a game of cards! Muchas gracias! Eimear & Dillon

Eve is a wonderful hostess and great cook. The place is very unusual and the photos on the website don't do it justice. In particular, there needs to be a photo of the front of the house. I found it odd that the name of the house is in Mandarin. Apart from that, the personal service (picking up and taking to airport/station etc) is fantastic and needs to be highlighted on the website.
