The "Golden Hill Tree House" is a modern 3 story home nestled between two mature trees, an Australian silver oak and Ficus. To access the tree house you walk up an exterior stair case to a private second story deck, a nice place to welcome the day with a morning cup of coffee or relax at sunset with a nice glass of wine under a canopy of string lights. From the deck you enter the house through double french doors. The bedroom offers a peaceful retreat with 180° views that include downtown, the Coronado strand and on a clear day parts of Mexico, including the Coronado Islands. Off the bedroom is a small nook with hand painted walls depicting ocean life and one of San Diego's historic land marks, the Point Loma Light House on Cabrillo National Monument. We are looking for guests who will treat our guest house with the same respect that our friends and family do.
We live in the front house with two small children, so with our schedule it can be hard to find time to share a drink or hang out with guests, but we really do enjoy meeting our new visitors and sharing what we can about this wonderful city.
I'm a dad, a husband, and a photographer. I was once an avid rock climber who loved hanging onto the sides of very large boulders, but eventually I traded my shoes in for a hammer when I started building myself a home, AKA The Golden Hill Tree House. During construction I met my soon to be wife, and the bachelor pad I was building for myself soon became the residence for two adults and not long after two children. Luckily I also own the front house, a slightly larger 100 year old bungalo, which I've spent the last year and a half remodeling for our recent move in. Needless to say I'm exhausted! But I'm also happy to share what was a joy for me to build and live in for the past 12 years! I hope you will enjoy it too!
