We had a lovely time at Gwen's beautiful property. We spent 3 days in the studio apartment, which was small, but beautifully decorated and cozy, and with a big fenced private yard attached. It's a big property with multiple cabins, and Gwen lives on site as well. It's in quite an isolated location, but it was in good proximity to everything in the Tablelands to be able to explore the region - around 10 mins from Ravenshoe, 20 mins to Herberton, 30 mins to Atherton, and 15 mins to Millaa Millaa. We explored the region during the day, and spent the evenings eating dinner, relaxing in our room/on the porch, watching TV, and walking around the property. Unfortunately we had very rainy weather the majority of our visit, but we didn't let it stop us from enjoying our trip!
Gwen was very friendly and extremely helpful in any way she could be. All the cabins on the property are dog friendly, which was fantastic as we brought our puppy along with us! He had a lovely time, especially as we had the fenced yard for him to roam around in. There was also a fenced puppy play area if you were staying in one of the rooms that didn't have its own yard.
We had breakfast and dinner provided each day, which made things that much easier. For breakfast, we had muesli, toast, yoghurt and fruits provided. There was a small fridge, toaster, kettle, and coffee machine in the room. Each evening, we had a lovely dinner prepared by Gwen who is a great cook!
The only real downside was that with the studio you have to walk about a minute to use the bathroom, and there's no sink in the room. This didn't really bother us too much, but Gwen is planning to build these facilities anyways in the near future, which I think would make the studio perfect!
Thanks so much Gwen for a lovely stay!!! Hope to come back one day to visit :)
