We arrived late on Friday and eventually found it with lots of help from Helen, inside the lodge she had left a very helpful note to let us know important details like how to turn the lights on! The lodge itself is HUGE- it exceeded our expectations! It was always cosy thanks to the wood burning fire and the wall heater, autumn evenings spent with the very thoughtful bottle of wine left for us, films on the tv (there was a fantastic collection of dvds) and the crackling fire made it beyond perfect! From the small homely details to the luxurious bathroom it certainly didn't feel like we had only driven an hour down the road, so peaceful and nice to get away from busy everyday life. I would highly recommend paying it a visit, we will definitely come back next year!

The entire experience could not have been better. Helen was a wonderful host and we would not hesitate to visit again soon! The photographs do not do the cabin justice, we were particularly impressed with the bathroom. We highly recommend the cabin to anyone looking for the perfect spot to access the lake district or just a quiet weekend away. Thanks again for everything x

Such a unique space. If you're after peace and quiet this is for you. Cosy up infront of the log burner and relax. Such a quiet area, no street lights so we could sit on the porch and stargaze. The toilet/shower room is brilliantly planned out if a bit of an adventure at night. And we loved the bedroom, again another wee adventure but well worth it for the comfy bed and the view. Planning a summer visit for next year

Lovely log cabin. This has been built to the highest of standards and is perfect to relax in. The little extras were very well appreciated. We arrived wet and cold during a storm and we were on our motorbike. We were lost as it was so dark, but Katie helped direct us in and Helen met us with the fire going to warm us up. Ben pulled out his tools and helped us with a bike problem. The view is beautiful sitting back from the veranda, or in doors, from every angle. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing break.
