A delicious Breakfast the FIRST MORNING is included.
Your lodge has two romantic lodge style bedrooms with new queen hotel quality mattresses & linens, a full bath with a big rain shower head. The great room welcomes you with a puzzle table, a game and dining table that seats eight, two six foot with leather couches, one fold out queen bed, a large flat screen tv, netflix and a stocked game cabinet. The tiny but well stocked kitchenette has a microwave, electric skillet, crock pot, rice cooker, panini grill, med. fridge, coffee pot, dishes, basic spices & grilling baskets for your outdoor BBQ. The BBQ has a side burner, the kitchenette has no stove top, oven, sink or dishwasher. We have a basket system in the stairwell for dirty dishes to be put in (this is a work-free vacation for you!). I will wash any items you will need to reuse and have them cleaned and delivered back to the basket. The kitchenette is so well stocked it is rare to have to reuse anything!
Check out our guide book on this page for a sampling of the great things to do and see here in the central cascades and surrounding area.
Well behaved dogs and people are welcome! Dogs must be cleaned up after and cannot be left alone in the rental unless the are in a crate.
****If you choose to bring young children you are solely responsible for their safety and they are never, ever allowed to be unsupervised at any time. Children are people too so they count as a guest when booking.

Guest access

Lake Kachess is four miles down our street and is great for boating, swimming and hiking. The downhill ski & snowboard areas are ten miles away. Hiking trails are everywhere. There are over 300 miles of snowmobile trails right from the driveway & beautiful cc & snowshoe trails. If your car can carry it, a double kayak is there for your use. Trail Maps & Hiking Guide books are provided for use during your stay.

Interaction with guests

If I am at the upper lodge you will not see or hear me (unless you want to! I'm always up for a glass of wine!). I have a separate entrance and out door sitting area that cannot be seen from lower lodge. Breakfast the first morning is delivered at nine am in a corner stairwell that is completely private from both living areas.

Other things to note

If you are coming from the west or the airport you must stop to see Snoqualmie Falls on your way here! It is spectacular night and day and well worth the ten mins off the highway.
Also stop for groceries in North Bend exit 31 as there are not full grocery stores in our area. While you are there have very yummy salmon Quinoa or woodsman grilled romaine & steak salad at the North Bend bar and grill. Or The Commonwealth & Drew Bru exit 53 for a yummy burger. If you are heading here from the east stop in Cle Elum for groceries. If you plan on eating dinner out there is a restaurant list for you but most are a 30 min drive unless its ski season, then you will have many choices at the pass, 10 mins west of the lodge. Year round fine dining and wine tasting is 20 mins away at suncadia resort, my fave is Swiftwater Cellars.

This is a lovely home in a gorgeous setting with lots to do all around and at the home too. Nancy has thought of every detail with puzzles, ping pong, hiking guides, park passes, snow shoes, hot tub. Be aware there is not a full kitchen, but Nancy serves a lovely breakfast on your first morning and there are plenty of ways to heat food up on: the grill or microwave, or in an electric skillet or crick pot...and there is a small fridge.

Everything was wonderful at Nancy's lodge! It was a great place to stay--comfortable, clean, cozy, secluded, and so close to so many beautiful spots! The views just from the windows and right outside the front and back doors are incredible. The tips and recommendations Nancy gave were very helpful--we ended up checking out one of the day hikes, visiting Snoqualmie Falls, and visiting the North Bend Bar & Grill--all great suggestions. The lodge is close to plenty of hiking and other activities, and even though Nancy was not at the lodge during our stay she made sure everything was well-prepared down to the last detail for us. Great host and great property!

Nancy place was so nice and a beautiful location. We came up and stayed because my husband ran the tunnels marathon the location of the cabin to the starting line was perfect. It was nice to be able to run or bike to the nearby lake. I would love to come back next year and would definetky stay here again. Nancy also made us breakfast the first morning and it was delicious.

This place is the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend or a family vacation! Nancy is an amazing host and her lodge is absolutely beautiful. We felt completely immersed in nature during our stay and got to sit back, relax, and enjoy our anniversary with great wine, our own private jacuzzi, and lots of fun puzzles and games to keep us busy. The complimentary breakfast the first morning was beyond what we had expected and this place is stocked with everything you need for a stress-free vacation without having to stay at a hotel with a bunch of people around. Awesome location, great host, thank you Nancy!
