A sun-drenched, spacious room to recharge. Our peaceful home oasis is located right by the Franklin Ave strip in Crown Heights (not Brooklyn Bridge Greenway as it shows on the map, I can't change this, sorry!) The neighborhood boasts some of Brooklyn's best restaurants (in my opinion) eclectic bars, multiple coffee shops and music venues. A 7-10 minute walk from the Brooklyn Botanical, BK Museum, Brooklyn Public Library and Prospect Park. Great public transit closeby.

Guest access

You will have access to the large bedroom, a fire escape for sunny morning coffee or a smoke, our inviting common room and of course the kitchen and bathroom.

Interaction with guests

I work freelance in the photo industry, so sometimes I am around at home editing and sometimes I'm working on site, but I am always a text away and will likely share space with you at some point during your residency! I am casually conversational but am sensitive to those who want more privacy.

Other things to note

My apartment is on the third story of a historic four floor walk up building.

My husband and I stayed at Krysta's for five nights recently, and had an excellent experience. The apartment has been recently remodeled, so the kitchen and bath are in much better condition than many places in the neighborhood (we've stayed in several places in the area). We appreciated that all the common areas, as well as our room, were clean and spartan. I mean the term spartan here in a very positive way since many New York apartments seem crammed with stuff. Krysta was a very good host - a good communicator without being intrusive. The location next door to the shuttle was great and the noise of the shuttle didn't bother us - it's on the other side of the building. We would definitely recommend this place to others and would stay here again.

Krysta was an excellent host! Super helpful and accommodating. She invited me multiple times to hang with her friends and really takes the time to get to know you but also gives you space. She also had numerous options printed out for thing to do around the area and her apt was very clean.

Absolutely loved staying at Krysta's! The apartment is easy to access, with the Franklin shuttle right next door and is only a block away from shops, cafes and a 10 minute walk to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and museum. The apartment was clean and quiet and the host was very welcoming. Loved the guides of things to do in the neighborhood. Overall, loved my stay and would stay again.

Krysta was one of the nicest people I met on my stay in NYC. She's incredibly friendly and easy to communicate with. She invited me to hang out and meet people in the area multiple times and that made me really feel at home. I would recommend her place to anyone staying in NYC. Very accommodating and easy. Transportation is a breeze to get to and there is plenty to do in a 5 block radius from her place!

Hi! I enjoy collecting experiences, making stuff, photographing people, cycling, doing yoga and learning new skills. When I travel, the people I meet truly help me ascertain the nuances of a new place, and I hope to return the favor to those I host through Airbnb.
