You’ll have the house to yourself.
Vilsandi Rescue Station has without doubt one of the most astonishing views a house can possibly have. As a former but now renovated rescue station it sits right next to the sea offering some real sleep-next-to-the-sea experience.

The space
Vilsandi rescue station was built in 1874 to house a rescue team and a lifeboat. During its active years more than 40 men and a dog were rescued by the brave men of the station.
The boat took its last trip to Sweden to save locals from the Soviet regime.

In 2012 the house was renovated and declared as a national monument. It has been adapted to offer accommodation during spring-autumn season.

Guest access
Guests staying at Vilsandi Rescue Station will have access to all the amenities the house has to offer i.e. bathroom, kitchen and slip.

Other things to note
Vilsandi Rescue Station is situated in Vilsandi National Park.

Location

Vilsandi, Saare maakond, Estonia

Vilsandi Rescue Station is located on a semi-isolated island of Vilsandi in West Estonia. There are few houses on the island.
Vilsandi forms a part of Vilsandi National Park. Vilsandi is the only inhabited island in the protected area. The coastline of the island is sub-divided into coves, capes and many coastal islands. The western and northern shores are mostly rocky dolomite shores. The nature there is, first and foremost, characterised by the sea climate, abundant wild birds, characteristic vegetation distinctive to coastal areas and an interesting brackish water sea fauna.
