Whether in DC for work or play, you'll love this charming row house in the Navy Yard neighborhood! Walk to the Capitol, National Mall, 3 Metros, Eastern Market, Canal Park ice rink, Nationals Stadium, waterfront Yards Park, bars, restaurants, groceries, playgrounds and more! [Note: this home is currently available through Oct 30th; we may open the calendar beyond then while we seek necessary permits for a home addition.]

The space

Our Navy Yard Row House is in a great Metro-accessible home base for vacationing guests who want to see all the sights but still get all the comforts of home - and it won't take you 45 minutes to get back from each museum, since we're literally just minutes away from all of them!

Our little corner of Southeast DC is experiencing a development boom, so you get the proximity of the Capitol, the monuments and downtown, with the vibrancy of a newly redeveloped neighborhood chock full of amenities within a couple blocks reach.

The home has a queen master bedroom, a double twin room with a desk (the twin trundle pulls out flush to make side-by-side twins, if desired, but please note that the two twins cannot be pulled apart) with a desk, and, on request, we have a European (long) twin fold-out bed, and a pack and play available, along with various other baby, toddler and preschooler friendly gear you might need. And since we live on the block, it's no trouble at all.

Guest access

You have completely private access to the entire home! There is a small front yard with chairs out front to relax, and a fenced patio with table and chairs (though no grill).

Interaction with guests

We live on the same block, so Chris or I can help with whatever you need!

Anya and Chris are fantastic hosts and the home was perfect! My husband, young toddler, and I were there to go to a few Nationals games over a long weekend. The house was clean and comfortable, and they kindly had some breakfast staples ready to go for us in the fridge. The location could not have been better - walking distance to Nats park, Yards park, lots of restaurants, Harris Teeter, and metros. It felt very safe. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful experience at Anya place! The house was clean and well stocked. The pictures I saw on airbnb truly captured the house and the area. It is close to the navy yard, the metro, an easy walk to the store and wonderful restaurants. We truly enjoyed our visit and would book again for future trips to DC.

We had a wonderful stay at Anya's place! The pictures show exactly how the house looks. It was very clean and we had everything we needed! Anya and her husband live 2 doors away so they are right there if you need anything at all. The house is 2 blocks from Harris Teeter (my favorite grocery store in DC). It is a short walk to the Metro and many restaurants and entertainment! We either walked or Metro'd all over the city - never even having to use a car! I felt very safe in this area. Thanks again, Anya and Chris!

Great location for staying in D.C. Close to some nice restaurants, Nationals Stadium, public transportation (metro), and a grocery store. Parking on the street was not an issue.

I have always loved traveling, and particularly enjoy homestays and short term rentals. It's nice to meet people where you are traveling, and to travel like you're at home.

As a guest in any short term rental, I am always careful to take very good care of the home. I've always wanted to run a B&B, so I'm excited to get my chance now, as we rent out our home ahead of a planned expansion. We love our neighborhood in DC, and know that guests will too. We are happy to make every guest as comfortable in our home as can be and also very happy to share tips for getting around DC and making the most of your stay.
