Tarbo is a nice guy. The traditional Japanese meal he made was really great. He's a good conversationalist as well. Thanks Tarbo!

I had a good time at Tarbo's place, got a great breakfast cooked by Tarbo, and he also accompanied me to a local restaurant on my first night. I shared a room with Tarbo, wasn't aware at first but it was quite cool, and his flat had everything required, especially a bluetooth stereo, which is absolutely great when traveling alone. I wasn't too used to sleep on the tatami though, a bit hard, but got more used to it the next night. Overall, it was a great experience staying at Tarbo's place, and of course, Nara is a city where you can find the core history of Japan.

Tarbo is very welcoming and efficient. His english is extremely good which eliminates chance of misunderstanding. His little apartment is very central so easy walking distance to all the main city attractions and just a couple of minutes walk to the JR station...and as well as being a charming host... Tarbo is an excellent cook. His itinerary and advice on where to eat lunch were perfectly explained and I would recommend him for anyone wanting to live like a local for a day or two.

The place is quite near the Nara Station and the host is so hospitable that he picks us at the station and leads us to his house. The apartment is nice and cozy.

Tarbo picked us up from the train station (which is 1 min away from his Airbnb home). The home was spacious, clean and has everything you need, especially for a longer stay. We had just one night in Nara and it was a great experience.

We had a really nice stay at Tarbo and Kenta's place. The house is well located, near by the train station and Nara's deer park and temples. This lovely couple spent a lot of time with us, answering to all our questions about japanese culture with two different point of views -one is a local, the second is from California- a touch of humor and without any taboos. Moreover, Tarbo kindly cooked us a wonderfull and so delicious home-made style lunch. It truly felt like home, but in Japan, this was great! Thank you so much!

Tarbo was a very sweet and welcoming host and even let us have his apartment alone since he was worried we could catch his cold. The flat is homely, very nicely kept, clean, with everything you need. Conveniently close to JR station and walking distance to the deer park. Would definitely come again and Tarbo deserves his title of superhost!
