Our home is in a quiet neighbourhood on the foothills of Stellenbosch Mountain - perfect for outdoor enthusiasts! Come enjoy trail running, hiking or biking from your doorstep in the nearby forest and vinyards! The town centre with all its fine restaurants and quirky art galleries is a 7 - 10 minute drive away, and some of the best wine farms are very close by. Stellenbosch has so much to offer and we would love to show our guests why it is our favourite place on the planet!
Your spacious room has its own separate entrance and en suite bathroom. There is a double bed, and a double air mattress is available for up to two additional persons / children at no extra cost.
Things you will love about your stay:
- Excellent free WiFi is included!
- Your room has air conditioning for those hot Stellenbosch summer days.
- A complementary breakfast consisting of delicious homemade South African rusks, assorted cereals, milk, coffee and tea is included (on a self serve basis). Please enquire about additional meal options!
- A washing machine and dryer is available.
Although your room does not have a full kitchen, it is equipped with everything you need to prepare a quick bite: a kettle, bar fridge and microwave. Guests may also share our kitchen in the main house when we are home or upon arrangement.
Guests have private access to their room via a porch that is shared with the main house.
Other things to note
Please take note that we have two friendly dogs (Border Collies) on the property. They are well trained, but guests do need to be pet tolerant.
Check-out is at 11:00, but if we don't have another guest coming in you are welcome to check out at any time convenient to you.
For long term stays, we provide everything you need (in terms of food and consumables) for the first week.
Children are welcome, but our home is not toddler proof.
Preferably no smoking at all, but smoking is allowed outside in the garden area.
Please, no loud music after 22:00.
We sometimes enjoy sharing a meal or some good wine with guests, but won't bother you if you prefer to do your own thing :)

In a year or so my husband and I want to embark on an epic journey, backpack everywhere and climb as many mountains as we can. In the meantime we are exploring all that South Africa has to offer (inbetween our day jobs, which involve coding / maths / stats - all the geeky stuff).
Live the dream. You only get to live once, and you don't know how much time you have left. Got a dream? Make it happen.
