We had a wonderful stay here! The apartment is located right in the heart of everything you want to see. We used public transport once and walked the rest of the time. The apartment is very sweet and has everything you need. Communication with Konstantinos was great. We hope to stay here again when we are in Athens!

I spent to nights with a friend of mine at Konstantinos place and we totally fell in love with it! We could have never imagined a better location to enjoy the heart of Athens! The Acropolis is just a ten minutes walk away and Plaka is a lovely disctrict, so full of life, good food and nice shops!

I suggest to not stay here during the summer. There is no air conditioning and I could never cool down the room after exploring the city. The weather in Athens was 37 during my stay. In the room, I would estimate the place was maybe a degree cooler with the fan at maximum. Location is great, very central.

Response from Konstantinos:
Dear Andres, thank you for your feedback but the reason there was no AC was that the studio is usually cook so a fan was enough. It just happened that you came to Athens at one of the warmest summers and during the heatwave...All the best to you and hopefully next time with better weather conditions!

Please read the whole text. I stayed for 7 nights (19.-26-Jul.2017). The toilet base was fully covered with black fungus. It surely was a health hazard. The shower is very tiny and hence all the water spills to the bathroom floor and the toilet, creating all that fungus that clearly has been there for a long time. The cleaning person has never taken care of it, that's for sure. I took a picture of it; I'm still trying to figure out how to attach it to this review (it doesn't seem to be possible, but I still have the pic). To be fair, all the rest of the apartment was fine, but having that insane amount of fungus in the bathroom was just unforgivable. The listing says no wi-fi (at least by the time I looked at it). Before booking it, I asked the owner on February 2017 if I could get wi-fi because I needed to do work during night time and he said yes, he would provide me of it. Only when I arrived to the apartment, he said that I should buy my own; when I reminded him that was not the deal, he gave me two signal names and their passwords; none of them worked. Then he sent a lady with a USB stick for wi-fi that never worked. He and the lady also said that 2 days before I left a person would come to install a wi-fi modem/router. That never happened. In the end I had to work with my own mobile data and now I'm expecting a huge bill for the end of the month. If you don't offer wi-fi, just stick to it and don't promise you will provide it when you won't. I could easily have picked another Airbnb with wi-fi, but I was assured by Konstantinos that I would get it. That never happened. He might say that he tried, but "trying" and "providing" are not synonyms. Sorry for being rude, but it's more rude to promise something which was very important for my stay and then not deliver it. The owner was constantly saying he was sorry for the wi-fi issue, but never solved the problem. From day 1 he knew the wi-fi was important for me due to my work. His lack of understanding of how important this was for me was what truly ruined my stay at his place. To be fair to Konstantinos, if I didn't have the annoying and frustrating wi-fi problem, and the situation with the fungus in the toilet, I would have given an almost perfect review to the apartment. The price is very good, the location is unbeatable, the bed was very comfortable, the sun never hits the apartment (at least during summer, which makes it "fresher" without air conditioning, considering how hot the temperature gets in Athens), it feels private (you can keep the balcony door wide open and no one will be looking inside the apartment), and it was very...

Dear David, Thank you for your detailed review it really helped improving the hospitality offered. The fungus that you mention in the bathroom was due to an old leak at the back side of the toilet and you couldnt come in contact with it unless you tried. Anyway the thing is all solved and perfectly clean and thank you again for mentioning it. Regarding wifi, is finally installed and as Evi and me explained it was an issue of the internet provider that it was not brought on time eventhough we tried our best. Since you blame me for lack of understanding I believe that you should also mention that when you were about to book the place I clearly stated that if wifi is an important issue for you then you better look for something else since mine was not ready yet. Anyway I wish you all the best and to enjoy your travelling!

In booking the place, I hadn't noticed that there is no wifi connection in the apartment. Since I was travelling for business, it was tough not to be connected. The relatively expensive and cumbersome WiZiFi rent-a-router solution proposed by the host isn't necessary though, since most cafes in the neighborhood offer free wifi as a convenience to their customers. Otherwise, a comfortable place that is very centrally located.

We did not get to meet Konstantinos but his friend, Evi was very welcoming and helpful. 10/10 for the location. The place is in an ideal spot with the Acropolis literally behind it and everywhere else within a 5 - 10 minutes walk. We didnt need to use the metro at all! The only downside is that there is no WiFi connection (although there are helpful pamphlets in the apartment on how to purchase temporary WiFi for about €10 a day). Another thing is the place has no air-conditioning. The place is quite cool at night and there is a stand-fan that works quite well. As we were travelling in the peak of summer, it did get a bit warm in the night but it was still bearable. For the price and the amazing location, I would still recommend this place for those travelling on a budget!
