Just a few steps to H-Bay where you can snorkel with turtles, surf or boogie board. Around the corner is Keauhou Bay. Keauhou Bay offers several amenities that compliment the perfect island vacation.

There is snorkeling, diving, deep sea fishing, sunset cruises, snorkel trips, sailing adventures to Captain Cook, dock fishing, beach volleyball, kayak rentals and finish the day with the legendary night dive or snorkel with manta rays. All this is within a few blocks of the Sugar Shack at H-Bay.

Four doors away is the entrance to Kanaloa where you can enjoy a Mai Tai at sunset or whale watch (Dec-Apr) while dining at The Grill & Bar at Kanaloa. You can also walk to the Sheraton across the bay and enjoy their restaurants, bars and oceanfront Luau. Great house, in a fine location near one of the best places to swim with mantas. The house was very well set up and was fine for our group of seven. John (the host) was in New York but left very clear instructions.

John's house is perfectly located in Kona-Kailua. We could walk to a beach within 50 yards and spent much time down Ali'i Dr. in Kona. John was very responsive if we had any questions or issues and his caretaker for the house was very pleasant and helpful.

After living in Kona for more than 6 years work forced me to relocate for most of the year to NYC. I try to return to the Big Island a couple times a year. Its where my soul is rooted and home to the best people I've ever found anywhere.
