We stayed at Catherine's for 2 weeks with 2 kids, plus 4 relatives for few days . The apartment is comfortable and spacious. View from the bedrooms is great. We could also use a parking space in front of the building. It is near the old town, about ten minutes walk. Catherine is very helpful and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this location to my friends.

A great apartment. The centre is easily reachable by foot via a nice little path along the small river. The fact that the apartment is right on the edge and not right in the centre makes it relaxing to come back to. Cool, clean, quiet and very pretty.

We had a great time staying at Catherine's! She contacted me a week before our arrival to get everything in order. She was not present but arranged to have her daughter meet us at the apartment, who was lovely and very helpful. She showed us the apartment and gave us plenty of recommendations for our visit. The apartment is located close to the train station, and is a short walk into the old town. It ended up being perfect for our stay in Annecy. Check out was very easy too; Catherine was very accommodating to our needs and organized to have a neighbor pick up the key. Nothing but good things to say about this trip!

We have been in AirBNB before and enjoyed our stay and get great feedback. This was a terrible experience. The apartment was looking nice, but there was no hosting. The host was away and never called us to provide instructions or ask how we are doing even once during our stay. The daughter of the host, did not answer the phone for two hours, and said she is sick and that her phone was on silent, and so the person that showed us the apartment was a neighbor. Which also did not pick up the phone for a long time. We were worried and upset while driving to Annecy from the Airport in the evening. But the bad experience just began. The neighbor forgot to tell us that there is an intercom code to use in order to enter the building. She gave us a pair of keys and told us “one was for the front door and one for downstairs” As a result, my husband and my little daughter got stuck out of the building with a useless pair of keys for more than an hour at 20:30 PM. They went to buy bread and milk in the supermarket without a phone, got stuck outside of the building in a cold weather. Only after 21:30 a neighbor from the second floor opened the building door for them. We later discovered that the code is listed in the printed folder that was left for us but this is a crucial piece of information we were expected to be told about. And that the 2nd key was not for the entrance it was for a bicycle room which does not let you enter the building. The neighbor also did not know where is the parking space, so we had to move the rental car we had twice that evening. The neighbor asked us to water all the plants (25 plants every day) during our stay. Which we happily did. We also cleaned the apartment, every day and in the last evening. Just to discover that the host still has complaints. The apartment is not kids friendly. There are a lot of delicate objects that can break easily and the elevator is very small, entering with a stroller is difficult. Nice apartment, but a non-existent host.

Response from Catherine:
It is useless to answer to such lies. My experience with Carmitt's family was the only bad and disapointed experience I had. There were enough good comments by the other guest to reveal how I am welcoming all in my flat.

A lovely bright apartment with mountain views out of the bedroom windows and the river from the balconies. Catherine was very easy to communicate with, answering my questions and providing information with a speedy response time. Our family loved the town of Annecy, the walk along the river into town was lovely, with a park for the children along the way. The apartment was clean with quirky furniture and a modern kitchen with all the mod cons, not that we used them we were too busy out riding bikes around the lake or walking in the Alps.
