I spent 10 weeks with Colin, Janie and Louise and I really enjoyed my stay. They cared very well for me and I felt like I am a family member. The room was nice and very comfortable. Janie feeded me very well with beautiful and tasty cakes she baked and gorgeous meals she cooked. I loved all the animals they had especially the sheep and the dog. I would highly recommend their b&b and I am sure that I am going to take my family wirh me to visit them again.

Colin, Janie and Louise are great hosts. As you're staying in their actual home, they make you feel very welcome and free to do your own thing. The guests rooms are separated from the living area, which -if you so choose- gives you the oppertunity to keep to yourself. The breakfast they cook up is amazing. Get's you all the energy you need to explore the beautiful city of Edinburgh, or hike the field right behind their house. We we're offered to have dinner with them as well, but fell short in time, but I'm sure it would've been delicious as well. Colin was so kind to pick us up from the airport for only a small fare, which to us was a huge bonus. He also has many stories about Scotland, history and whatever else you wanna talk about. As far as hospitality goes, they got it very, very right. The fact that they let you in their house and be so welcoming is really something special. So again: thanks a lot guys. We hope to see you again someday!

Colin, Janie and Louise were absolutely delightful hosts, they couldn't have been more accommodating. Wonderful breakfast and cakes and cups of tea. Lovely cosy bedroom. You felt as if you were part of the family and you had known them for years. They were really helpful with the local attractions and transport. Would highly recommend staying in their delightful home. If I could go higher than the standard five star ratings I would. Thank you for your lovely hospitality and company. Will look forward to coming back again some time. Louise and Jon

I was staying at Colin and Janies while attending while attending a nearby course. It was easy to reach from Edinburgh airport and had good links all round. The stay was amazing I was greeted by Colin on arrival who showed me round and made me feel very comfortable. They are great hosts who made me feel very comfortable, were helpful with information on the local area, and happy to either engage in conversation on let you get on with your business. I couldn't recommend here more highly, the beds were comfortable, house very clean and orderly and the neighbourhood so peaceful. Also breakfast was amazing!

Colin, Janie & Louise User ProfileColin, Janie & Louise is a superhost.

My wife Janie is a chef and shepherd, I am a Company Director. We both work from home now after 8 years setting up and running the Brasserie at Swanston together. Jane has a large kitchen garden and soft fruits growing in the 5 acres around our house. The south-facing site used to be a commercial market garden. She also has a flock of rare-breed sheep, our daughter Louise has a pony in the field behind our house.
