All in all, it was the chiepest place I could get, after another Airbnb host cancelled my room 5 days before arrival. But I was shocked when I saw how small the cabin was. It only had place for the bed, a nightstand and my luggage. Of course only the closed luggage. Every time I needed sth from it, I had to put it on the bed and then back on the floor. Not very 'practical', to say it in a diplomatic way. Plus: I got bruises all over my right leg ;0) And you're always searching sth, because you have no room to leave it somewhere handy! The location is cool, though, when you ignore the not so beautiful Bowery Street. But just around the corners are Prince and Spring Street And this made up for everything!

This was a last minute booking for me, and they came through even asking about early check-in. Would stay here again. Great and friendly people and helpful.

I liked the idea of having a bed in the city because all you need is a safe place to plop down for the night. Just keep in mind that you can hear everything around you in the other rooms.

As a hostel, I have no complaints. The room and bathroom was clean enough, and the roof offered enough of an escape from the hustle of the city. The twin mattress did not fit me in the slightest, the light spilled over from other rooms, and every single. other person had a snoring issue. It was hard to sleep. The establishment is super close to Little Italy and China Town, which make for some amazing adventures. It's also in Soho which is great for getting some coffee and food or hitting the bars. Overall, the Bowery didn't put a damper on my time in NYC and it was super convenient, but I definitely would've slept better somewhere else.

The location is excellent, close to subways, Wholefoods, bars, restaurants and the cool streets from Village. Make sure you know what a cabin is, it's a very small room, but clean and well decorated. It's a very decent option if you want to stay in Manhattan in a budget. I would definitely come back.
