La Mansion gets a great review from me for two reasons. 1) great communication from the host before, during, and after our stay. The host was very responsive to fix or help remedy concerns we had during our stay. He greeted us at the scheduled time to arrive, was flexible as to our departure time, and was there to see us off at the end of our stay. 2) The house is a great value and in a great location for sight seeing in Mexico City. We found the rate reasonable compared to many houses in the area. Discerning guest should be advised the house decor is comfortable but dated. It's eclectic and fun spaces and well suited for hosting 10 people comfortably in the living or dining room areas. The beds were comfortable too. We had a problem the first morning with no hot water the first morning, which Pablo found to be the water heater was not lit properly. He fixed it immediately and apologized repeatedly. The house is one block from the Mercado Medillin, a significant and historic market for food and house goods. We also found many restaurants and bars a short car ride or walking distance from the house. We found street parking easy and available every day we stayed at the house.

Pablo is a great host. He was accommodating and helpful and made our stay easy. Location is great, price is great, and a wonderful place to stay if you have a large group. We had a family reunion and managed to get 18 people in the house. It is an eclectic artistic house with charm - a little tired in some places (tricky locks on a couple of doors, low water pressure in the showers) but none of it was too bad and in fact we loved it.

Review of La Mansion Nayarit in Mexico City  For nine days, eight of us rented La Mansion Nayarit located at Nayarit 45, Roma Sur, which is in a decent neighborhood.  This AirBnB is roomy and within walking distance to the swanky La Condesa neighborhood. The owners of Nayarit 45, Pablo and Fher, really need to take their home off the AirBnB market and give it a complete make-over. This house could be a great place even with the quasi shabby-chic décor but Fher and Pablo need to take care of their home. We now know that the photos on this AirBnB listing do not visually reflect what we experienced: (1) Fher had two weekday parties into the early mornings which kept us awake; (2) A water problem caused us to not have running water for several hours on multiple days; (3) Occasionally we did not have hot water; there was a problem with the hot water tank; (4) Instead of replacing the bathroom tiles that previously may have held towel racks, the holes in the bathroom tiles were filled in with plaster and was unsightly; (5) The wooden floors had a sticky-tacky feel to the feet (why weren’t the floors clean?); (6) The patio is filled with unkempt, overgrown potted plants, the built-in fish pond had dirty, dark water with a floating dead fish (could have been a fake fish floating but it was hard to tell); the patio was not an inviting place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning; (7) The sofa in the living room had a cigarette burn-hole; (8) A dining room chair in a state of disrepair was missing an arm; (9) The mattresses in the bedrooms should be replaced. They felt old and overused; (10) Each of us received one towel (pretty small ones) for the entire nine days (no hand towels or wash cloths). When we asked Fher for new towels, he replaced them with the statement, “We provide one towel per guest. We will give you an extra towel with no charge for the noise situation.”; (11) The rooms had old thread-bare rugs that had seen better days; (12) We knew that Pablo would be away during our stay. However, though Fher was around, he was basically nonchalant, disinterested, and disengaged during our stay. Our days were spent exploring and enjoying the vast beauty and history of Mexico City and its environs. Upon our return to Nayarit 45 each evening, we braced ourselves to what we would experience at the AirBnB. Suffice it to say that our stay at Nayarit 45 was less than desirable.

Response from La Mansion:
We are so confused like people like you use Airbnb, in all our experience with more that 300 review with people who love the house wenever had something like this: Demanding groseries and cold beers when you check in whick WE SAID its at 3 pm so how dare you to say the host was lake?!?!?!? You are not for this project, you are specting to pay 200usd and get services from Four Seasons and treat me like you employe or battler... I never in my like I talk with disgusting people like you... This is the most ridiculous review in my life and even I talked with the Airbnb office to tell them you don't undestand the concept from this website and you are horrible people to deal with. HOPE YOU NEVER COME BACK TO MY COUNTRY EVER. PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE NOT WELCOME IN MEXICO.

A group of 10 of us stayed for five nights. The hosts were fantastic and responsive. The house sleeps comfortably, is airy and cool, but the best part is the courtyard. When I come back to Mexico City, I plan to stay here again.

La Mansion was a perfect place for our group of 6. Convenient location to Condesa and Roma and all the great restaurants, bars and sights.

The hosts were very laid back and accommodating. The house is fun and eclectic. The location is a great combination of peaceful and lively; it is in a great neighborhod with plenty of things around but not in the center of the city. we had a group of 8 and felt very comfortable and luxurious in the house.
