Whanarua Bay Cottages are located along the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway (SH35) in the Bay of Plenty. We have two self contained cottages available. With only a short walk down to the bay, it's a great place to stay for your summer holidays

The space

The cottage is a very cosy two bedroom coastal bach located on a large sunny section surrounded with fruit trees and flower gardens. The place is fenced and there’s a small gully on one side that we have planted in natives. At the rear of the section there’s a cleaning station equipped with running water for the fishermen in the family. This cottage will sleep up to five people comfortably and all beds are made up with fresh linen. The kitchen is fully equipment except it hasn’t got a oven. From the lounge the french doors lead out onto deck, where you can sit back and relax in this beautiful bay. We have kayaks for those who want to go for a paddle and the walk down to bay takes about five to ten minutes.

The cottage was a perfect base to allow us to explore the west side of the East Cape. It is very very clean and homely. Margaret is a fantastic host. Thank you Margaret.

This is a great place to stay and see the East Cape, with lots of beaches for swimming and fishing. The cottage itself is in original condition, a classic NZ batch which has not been renovated, it is comfortable and clean.

A lovely restful stay in an iconic batch complete with wallpaper mural!! A place that should never be renovated but retain it's nostalgic bent and 'I remember that memories' ... Clean and well equipped - recommended and worth a visit to the nearby macadamia cafe with it's fabulous views.
