The space

The Manse has been fully fitted out with an emphasis on relaxation! Nothing to distract you from the task of taking life very easy – only the crackle of a log stove or warmth from the Aga to distract you! Many books, games, CD’s and maps of Skye are kept at the Manse to plan your day with up to date information on what to see and do.

The house sleeps 6 in two double bedrooms and two singles with one double en-suite shower and a separate bathroom all at first floor. At ground level a living room, hall, study and kitchen with separate utility have been furnished to ensure everything you might need is at hand from binoculars to bicycles.

On arrival Ann who looks after the house and lives down the hill will have the fire alight for you on colder days. It's very much the feel of a home from home for all who visit - all we ask is you leave it as you find it!

The Old Manse exceeded our expectations. It is a very stylish place with a really elegant feel. It has all the amenities you need to feel like it is a home away from home. We were able to explore the island whilst also getting good time to relax in comfort back at the Old Manse. There are games and two lounges. The bedrooms are all lovely with 2 very sizeable doubles and 2 singles. There are all the kitchen utensils you could need and an aga in the kitchen making it into a super cosy snug. It is slightly tucked away on the peninsular but this just allows you space to think and rest and be a little away from the crowds, as Skye can get very busy. It's no hardship driving the 15 mins to Dunvegan or 40 to Portree. Really lovely stay and I can't wait to stay again.

Our stay at the Manse was quite perfect. There were so many beautiful works of art to admire and the whole place felt so genuine and tasteful. Nestled in the quaint hamlet of Hallin, it was surrounded by gorgeous scenery and close to the Stein Inn - great for a pint or to try some of their large selection of scotch. We went to the Edinbane Inn for live music on Sunday and the Neist lighthouse for a day trip. The Cuillins, Quirang, Fairy Glen and Pools were all so close and stunning! The house was large enough for our group of 6. Check in and out couldn't have been more simple. Radek stayed in touch and even accommodated our schedule change. We hope to be back and stay longer! Ps - buy the amazing eggs from next door's hens!

The old manse is in a gorgeous location, away from all the tourists on Skye. The house is well equipped and we enjoyed our time staying there. The beds were v comfy. We loved our holiday on Skye and will definitely be back! Check out the Stein Inn if you get chance- great location on the waterfront.

Nice old house in a remote location. It is within walking distance of the shore. We appreciated the pub and restaurant in Stein and the hike from Trumpan. Just too bad we could not meet anyone on arrival or departure.

I look after the the Old Manse on the beautiful Isle of Skye for a family in Edinburgh who use the house for relaxing breaks and to get away from it all.
