Come to "kick back" and relax at our beautiful, clean, real log cabin nestled in the woods. Enjoy rocking on the porch, watching for wild life, soaking in the hot tub or enjoy logging into your account on Netflix to watch a movie and enjoy a fire on a cool night. Located close to hiking trails & just minutes to downtown blue ridge. Plan a day to zip lining, white water rafting, horseback riding or shop and explore all the area has to offer! All guests must be 25 yrs and older. No Pets, No smoking
The day before your arrival you will be sent directions and the lockbox code.

This is our second home and we are very particular about how it is maintained.
We do not allow Pets or smoking. All guests must be 25 yrs and older. Please read our house manual below.

We are on a septic system. Please be mindful of how much toilet paper you are using and flush accordingly as to not block toilets and cause overflow. Water and log cabins are again NOT FRIENDS. NO FEMALE PRODUCT ARE TO BE FLUSHED .
We do not have a garbage disposal. Please scrape all food from the dished into the trash before rinsing and loading the dish washer.
The hot tub is located on the deck. The temperature is pre-set at 90 degrees. When you are ready to use, Undo clips to release straps on the side. Carefully fold cover back and lift cover off. Be careful to not let it fall over the rail as they break easily and your deposit will be kept to go towards replacement.
There are different jet buttons. One works the jets There is a light button to turn on the lights. There are two temp buttons. Please do not touch the Mode button. You can also adjust the individual jets by turning the dials on the jets themselves once they have been turned on. Be sure to open all jets when exiting the hot tub
*Please cover the hot tub when not in use and when you leave for check out. Please make sure that it is secure all the way around to help keep the heat in.
No Self tanner, body lotions, body makeup or oils, bubble bath or body wash of any kind in the tub
There are hooks where you can hang your towels. Please be mindful to dry off before going inside as wood floors and water aren’t friends.
No Glass in or around the hot tub. This is a safety issue.
There is a Keurig coffee machine. Be sure to bring some K Cups. Please use a clean cup to add water as this is a single serve machine.
The cabin has central heat/air. The thermostat is located on the wall next to the bathroom. Do not change anything other than the temp.
*Please make sure to turn it to 50 in the winter or 80 in the summer before you depart on your last day.
Remote to light FP is on the left side of mantel support. Please do not touch anything inside fireplace.
The fireplace is a nice gas log fireplace. Do Not open flue as they are vent less. It does provide heat warmth on those cool days. Please don’t leave fireplace on when leaving the cabin as it is a fire risk. Only use the timer/control located on the wall to operate the fireplace. Do NOT attempt to burn wood as it is not made for this. YES!! People have actually tried this. NOT GOOD!!
The fireplace will not be functional during summer months.
TV is through Direct TV. TVs operate on a single remote. “On” to turn the TV on and “Off” to turn the TV off. NOTE: Occasionally, the TV will say “no signal available” when it is turned on. If this occurs, simply turn the TV off and back on. This should solve the problem.
The grill is gas. It is located on the deck. Please scrape/clean the grates & allow to cool after using then replace the cover. If the grill does not light with the ignition starter, it can be lit manually with the stick lighter in the kitchen drawer. Be sure to turn off gas at the tank when finished.
PLEASE BAG ALL TRASH. DO NOT THROW UNBAGGED TRASH IN GARBAGE CANS.
Place all your bagged and tied up trash bags into the large metal box in the front of the cabin. Please do not leave food or trash outside as it will attract wild life.(YES, BEARS)
Please place any used dry towels and the sheets and pillow cases from any slept in beds in the laundry basket located in Bedroom closet. Put basket in front of washer before leaving. If you have damp or wet towels please leave them inside of the bathtub with the shower curtain open. Please do not leave them on the wood floors. Water and wood are not friends.
Please do not use comforters or pillow’s with shams that are on beds. These are decorative. There are extra blankets and pillows in the closet. Thank you
Please make sure to load rinsed dishes and run the dishwasher prior to departure
There is service for 8 in the silverware and dishes
In the event the internet goes out, the modem is on top of the red cabinet. Simple unplug power cord for 60 sec. then plug back in. It will take a few mins but should reconnect.
There is a corded phone beside the red cabinet incase of power outage or need for 911. Local calls only.

We have two grow children and one at UGA. Go DAWGS! Our oldest daughter is 29 yrs old and a talented graphic designer. She's engaged to a wonderful man. The wedding is planned for Oct 1, 2016. Our Son is 27 he works for Chase bank and also just got engaged to a very sweet girl. Needless to say we are busy planning wedding! Our youngest daughter is a Bio/pre med student.
I will say the empty nest has been an adjustment!
We love the mountains and enjoy hiking,and relaxing in our cabin! Hope you will too!
