This beautiful cottage has been lovingly built in a gorgeous garden setting and is now available for you to stay in and enjoy. It is furnished with a selection of comfortable antique furniture and memorabilia.

The space

The Gardener’s Cottage was built in 1998 using materials salvaged from an early settlers cottage built circa 1840 at South Arm. Heavy oak beams, pit-sawn timbers and richly coloured fabrics together with a very pleasing array of antique furnishing create a cosy and intimate atmosphere. A spa bath is carefully concealed by heavy colonial cedar doors.

I can't say enough good things about this property. Wonderful attention to detail in the construction, with quality breakfast items and toiletries, luxurious bedding, etc. The cottage was cozy and quiet. The outlook was lovely - surrounded by beautiful gardens. We enjoyed having a wine on the verandah overlooking the garden and also indoors by the fire (which was all ready for us to light). Strong wifi. The bedroom is up steep narrow stairs but is huge and has lovely views. Thank you Julian for your hospitality.

'Corinda' is a very special place which we hope to come back to. There's been attention and love given to every detail, both inside and out, and the Garden Cottage was an ideal base from which to explore Hobart. The atmosphere is exceptional and it has an old world feel but everything works beautifully. I felt I'd fallen down rabbit hole to Wonderland. Julian was very helpful and responsive to any needs and ensured we had a very pleasant stay.

The cottage was a great place to stay to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Great spa and breakfast was lovely with local produce. Beautiful gardens! Enjoyed staying somewhere different and private!

Idyllic and nothing short of comfortable, our three night stay at the cottage can only be described as serene. Our host went to such efforts such as to set the fireplace up and restock the consumables to make our stay the much needed break from the busy work life we have in Melbourne. Everything seems rather personalised, from even before arriving, and to the moment you leave, there is you can expect good communication from Julian, making it clear that they take pride in their accomodation they provide. Detailed instructions are provided and written down for guests; including reviews and directions to local shops, restaurants and cafes. The cottage itself is meticulously restored and yet still provides every modern comfort guests would need. It is a about a 5 minute walk to the CBD, 10-20 minutes if you would go about it as leisurely as me, through the parks and appreciating the architecture. The way back may be a bit of challenge who do not like going uphill, however, it is only difficult if you have more than one or two bag of groceries. Our trip to Hobart was nice, and our stay at Corida was lovely. We will definitely be back.

If anyone is looking for a place for inspiration, and a taste of Georgian lifestyle, this is the perfect choice. Absolutely beautiful. Chaxi and Julian were also very helpful in arranging the transport to the airport for us too.

My boyfriend and I had a really lovely weekend stay in the Gardener's cottage. It's exactly how it looks in the pictures - we arrived late and Julian had turned the fire and lights on and drawn the curtains so it was nice and cosy. There was everything we needed in the cottage, with lots of yummy food provided for breakfast. Bed was comfy, with soft clean linen. Bathroom was clean with an amazing spa bath! The cottage was easy walking distance to the city, where we had a delicious meal at Peacocks and Jones. Julian was quick on replying to my questions I had about the cottage when booking. I would definitely recommend this place for a retreat to Hobart.
