About this listing

Sunny and private apartment in a calm area only minutes away from Amsterdams Central Station. Close to Damsquare, the red light district, Jordaan & 9 streets, while still being able to enjoy all the benefits of a quite neighborhood.

The space

Take the free three minute 'IJpleinveer' ferry from Central Station and walk ca. 8 more minutes to the apartment.
(At night, or very early in the morning, use the 24/7 'Buiksloterwegveer' ferry in which case the walk is five minutes longer.)
Amsterdam is a very walkable city and the red light district, Jordaan area, nine streets, dam square etc. are all within walking distance. I recommend renting a bike if you want to experience Amsterdam like a local: it's fun, convenient and you'll get a decent workout while you're at it.
If you want to stay a little longer.. there's a large supermarket closeby. While you're here: feel free to watch some of the DVDs or read a book if you see something you like.

What a great, quiet location for a stay in Amsterdam. Nice little place that's just a short walk from the ferry to head into town. We loved our stay and Jurrie was an amazing host! He was helpful and accommodating to us before our trip and during it as well. Highly recommend :)

We enjoyed Amsterdam very much. Jurrie is a very kind and helpful host, he gave us the informations we needed before we arrived. The apartment is very clean, nice and confortable, full optional (coffee machine with coffee, washing machine, phon...ect) and as we arrived we found maps and city guides. The neiborhood is really quite and to get to the center the ferry's trip is fast and pleasant. We really recomand Jurrie and if we'll go back to Amsterdam we'll call him again, Ciao Jurrie!

Loved Jurrie's place. He's an incredible host, helped us every step along the way. The home is in a quiet area about a 7 minute walk to the ferry that takes you to centraal station. Bed is very comfy and apartment is very clean and nice. Would stay again!!

Very happy with the unit. Incredibly fast WiFi, walking distance to the free ferry which gets you right downtown. No complaints, would stay here again!

I didn't choose Jurrie's place straight away, but found it when another host cancelled us the week before our trip. Now I'm thankful they did cancel, because we couldn't have stayed in a comfortable apartment and quieter residential area. It's 10 mins walk & free ferry trip to the centre of Amsterdam. The flat itself was clean & well equipped, with Wifi, a computer (if you don't have your own), and the comfiest bed I've ever stayed in. (so good i took photos of the labels so I can buy one myself) If we're back to Amsterdam we'll try and stay here again. Although we didn't meet Jurrie, he was exceptionally quick with help and replies via messages and email, and even left us a bottle of wine and chocolates on our arrival. Highly recommended.

Jurrie User ProfileJurrie is a superhost.

Hi, I'm Jurrie, I live and work in Amsterdam and theatre & traveling are my main passions. I try to see as much of the world as I can, and often prefer to hop from one place to the next after a couple of days.
I enjoy exploring new places, getting lost in foreign cities and am a sucker for David Mitchell stories, fancy rooftop bars & everything remotely connected to both ice cream & chocolate. I plan to live in a penthouse with a rather amazing view one day, but for now it's a cute one bedroom apartment pretty close to Amsterdams Central Station, and you can rent it if you want to spend some time in this amazing city. :)
