Interaction with guests
While I am always close by, I tend to keep to myself to allow my guests to have their own experience. I am always available to answer your questions or tend to any situations that may arise. I encourage my guests to reach out to me if I can assist in any way day or night. I am available to facilitate catering arrangements.
Other things to note
It's very important that our guests understand that I, as our neighbors do, cherish the quiet enjoyment and dark desert skies of our beautiful village. Sounds carry in the open desert. Please be mindful of this when entertaining outdoors or with open windows.
Treat our homes with respect and consideration. Please pick up after yourself. We ask that you leave the homes in as close to the same condition as you found them. Clean up your kitchen messes, put away dishes, wipe up grease spatters, put away everything where it came from including patio furniture, games, books. Leave linens on the beds. Hang your used towels to dry. Leave your trash bagged in the garage. Clean up after your pets outdoors. I will do the general cleaning, bathrooms, floors, laundry, oven and BBQ grill. No food or drink in the bedrooms. Smoking outdoors only. Pets are ok but must be declared (pets not allowed at Palo Verde Retreat). Do not leave dogs unattended in our homes without advising your host. Many become very upset and even the best pets can make mistakes. We'd love to dog sit, check in on your pet or help in whatever way keeps them happy.

I recently quit my corporate job so I could enjoy hosting you. Having lived in the high desert for nearly 40 years I have grown to have a deep appreciation for it's beauty.
I enjoy going to Sequoia National Forest and also RV camping and riding off highway vehicles with my friends and three sons at the Joshua Tree Dry Lake Bed.
My style of hosting is to be available by text or phone call in case you need anything. I can also be reached by knocking on my door as I live next door to my rentals. Should you need information or assistance I will do what I can to facilitate.
