Leah was a thorough host and easy to communicate with. The cabin was conveniently located to the freeway and a handful of restaurants were nearby. The cabin wasn’t quite what we had hoped to find. Being that it was a too chilly to be outside by the lake or on the deck, we spent …

We actually have three comfortable couches in the cabin. One large couch and a double recliner and rocker are in the living room. We also have extra cushions and chairs to augment the seating in the living room, as well as cushioned double ottoman to put your feet up or sit on. Our third large couch is in the family room where the ping pong table and other games are located. Leah

Very clean, many sheets and towels available. Kitchen has every utensil in the book, lots of room, fire place makes it toasty on cold nights. Leah is great to communicate with. Very large place, easily accommodated 10 full size men with lots of hunting gear

Beautiful cabin and location. All was wonderful. Perfect instructions and directions from Leah. The kitchen was great and we were able to do lots of cooking and baking with all the varieties of pots and pans, etc. I definitely suggest bringing drinking/cooking water with you.

We had such a great time. Eight of us, four adults and four kids, had plenty of room to play and sleep. We loved the ping pong table in the basement. We had unusually cold weather for August and found the basement to be a bit chilly. We will bring slippers next time. The woo…

I'm so happy you enjoyed yourselves and the children didn't need mind-numbing TV. I'm up here now and I can't wipe the smile from my face. When I leave I will put on the radiant heat in the floor on the lower and main level. For the future, we have portable heaters in the closet for you to use down stairs when if it gets nippy in the summer. I use them for my 86 year old dad who seems to like indoor temperature around 78.

The cabin was beautiful, roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is a great place to make meals and Wal-mart is 10 minutes away for groceries. We were looking forward to kayaking and canoeing on Buckhorn Lake as advertised; however, the lake was dried up and we were not able to. We …

Response from Leah:
So glad you had a good time despite the water level. The water level was lowered to fix a breach in the connecting canal at an unexpectedly fast rate. Which is disappointing, but we have no control and shared the information as I received it. The canal will be fixed and the water will come back to normal levels. Buckhorn Lake, which is actually only 50 yards from the cabin at normal water levels, (and can be seen from the cabin) is not a 1/4 mile. We have a nine-mile lake one mile away the the Black River one mile away and other beautiful lakes and rivers nearby to enjoy. I'm coming in August, and I am looking forward to experiencing the the magic of the cabin and the beautiful land and water nearby despite the lowered water levels. There are plenty of places close by to swim, boat and fish. I plan on doing it all with my portable boat car carrier and land canoe carrier with tires that are located at the cabin and for guests use as well. I hope you continue to have a great summer. Leah
