Dijvo was lovely and have is a lot of great tips. She even put a baby bed in the apartment for our daughter. We had to check out right at 10 am, but she had a place we could keep our bags for a small fee which was really nice. Great location, don't let the stairs scare you... You will have to climb stairs of you stay anywhere in the city walls. Patio was great. Amazing bathroom and shower and washing machine.

We got a taxi to the old town gate but With a lack of preparation on our part had no clue where to go. We stopped in a shop to ask directions , the lady didn't know but asked 2 of her shop neighbours , failing that one of the next neighbours walked us in the general direction. Half way there she asked another guy who immediately picked up Anne's bag and brought us to the door. Unbelievably friendly and helpful people here. We met the host , Levanka (I think ?) Who welcomed us in an equally friendly fashion. She showed us around and then drew on a map of the town where we were and where some of the highlights of town were. She finished getting the apartment ready as we were early, and we went for breakfeast. The apartment was simple , quaint , clean , but best of all felt like a real home in the town, right in the heart of narrow streets littered with local residence's pathway gardens. We were close to the south wall and both "hole in the wall" bars (highly recommended for an evening drink). The terrace was sunny and full of grapes and flowers but with shade too, we even had a resident lizard in the roof above our heads. Another great memory to take away was that when we were sitting having a glass of wine or lay down for a nap there was a piano playing close by , lessons perhaps , but really sucked us in to a feeling of real Dubrovnik old town living. All in all, the apartment may be simple for someone looking for luxury , but we loved it there and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Dubrovnik, and we would certainly stay again.
