Brand-new apartment in a luxury ski chalet.
Split-level living, 3 bedrooms, interior-designed, down-town location and great views.

The space

The apartment comfortably accomodates 6 people across a large open-plan living area and 3 double bedrooms rooms. Plus 2 large balconies.
The kitchen is fully furnished and equipped with utensils and appliances.
The sitting room has a large TV and DVD player plus wifi.
The heating system is underfloor throughout with a log butner (plus complementary logs) in the living area.
The village is car free but a car park is close by and the apartment has a private ski locker area..

Guest access

Fully equipped duplex apartment, with 2 private balconies and private storage area for skis, equipment, extra luggage etc.
For summer lets, access also to the Communal garden.

Interaction with guests

Sonnegg is fully managed by The Dom Hotel (on the village square).
The Dom will greet guests on arrival and provide the short electro car transfer to the apartment (Saas Fee is car free).
The Dom staff will then be on call throughout the stay - should anything be required - and will arrange return transfer on departure.
Transfers and logs (for the wood burner) are included in the apartment booking price.

Other things to note

A Visitor tax is applied to all visitors to Saas-Fee - currently CHF 6.50 per person per night.
The Dom will collect this from you during your stay, and will make the payment to the Tourist Office.
To help make these arrangements, please provide full names, ages and passport details of all guests before arrival.

This is a lovely apartment, very comfortable and well equipped. Really enjoyed the wood burning stove! It was very helpful that there was a local contact if we had any questions. Would definitely come back.

I feel like I should write two reviews of our stay. First of all, Sonnegg Lodge is a beautiful apartment to stay, in the lovely village of Saas Fee. The apartment is exactly as described and pictured. However, we encountered some miscommunication before and during our stay. We were not made aware that arriving at the village after 20:00 would cost us additional for the transfer to the house. What was disappointing was the way Rob’s representative – Justine – handled this issue. We were addressed in a very rude and insulting manner. There was no effort from her side to solve the problem. After meeting up with her, we were left in shock and awe about her behaviour. This was the first time we felt this unwelcome on AirBnB. Therefore we raised this incident with Rob directly. He was responsive and supported in solving the issues by the end of our stay. Nevertheless did we leave with a very uncomfortable feeling due to the way we were treated by Justine. Those of us who were involved never received an apology. Additionally, after leaving, we found out that we did not receive a “residents’ pass” (after paying tourist tax) which would allow for discounts on skiing and parking. These Tourist passes should have been in the apartment before we arrived as we provided our details a few weeks before our arrival. In summary, this was an amazing apartment and Rob was supportive, but definitely not the holiday we were hoping for!

Das Appartement war sehr grossräumig und schön eingerichtet. Das Taxi stand direkt bereit als wir ankamen und hatte die Schlüssel bereit. Hosting via Rob war gut! Hosting via Hotel Dom war jedoch nicht ganz reibungslos verlaufen: Es gab einige Punkte die wir bemängeln. - Das Appartement war nicht sauber, d.h. Esstisch, Küche wie auch Töpfe und Geschirr wurden dreckig hinterlassen aufgefunden (wir mussten vor Gebrauch immer zuerst checken ob es sauber ist und putzen). - Küchentücher gab es ebenfalls keine. - Des Weiteren wurde auf Airbnb die Location des Hotels anstelle des Appartements angegeben. (Tatsächliche Adresse ca. 15min Gehweg bis ins Herzen des Dorfes, wo sich auch das Hotel befindet) - Abreise: Angaben vom Hotel, welche im Vorherein abgeklärt und bestätigt wurden, sind dem Taxifahrer des Hotels nicht mitgeteilt worden. Der Schlüssel sollte gem. Hotel im Appartement bleiben und wir mussten deshalb kein Checkout machen. Der Taxifahrer hat dies jedoch anders durch das Hotel erfahren und den Schlüssel mitgenommen und und durchs ganze Dorf zum Hotel Dom zum ausckecken gefahren um danach wieder zum Bus Bahnhof zurück zufahren, da wir nicht auschecken mussten. Zudem wollte er uns dann den Weg in Rechnung stellen, obwohl uns dies ebenfalls zweimal, mündlich wie auch schriftlich, bestätigt wurde.

L'appartement de Rob est magnifique, très confortable et moderne, quoique reprenant les caractéristiques d'un chalet avec beaucoup de bois. Nous beaucoup apprécié le poêle et la grande pièce à vivre. L'appartement est à proximité du village mais dans un quartier très tranquille. Il faut malgré tout 10-15 pour aller jusqu'au départ des pistes et il est donc recommandé de laisser ses skis dans un local à proximité des remontées. Nous avons été accueillis par Justine qui nous a donné toutes les informations nécessaires. Nous avons eu un problème avec les toilettes et elle a été très réactive. Le problème a été résolu dans les heures qui ont suivi. Elle a aussi été très flexible pour notre horaire de départ. D'autres appartements sont en construction dans le quartier et les abords ne sont pour l'instant pas finalisés. L'immeuble est très joli mais l'environnement n'est pas encore à la hauteur. Rob ne propose pas le Citizen Pass que les hébergeurs peuvent obtenir pour leurs hôtes. C'est dommage car cela offre des réductions intéressantes pour les activités, les restaurants, .... C'est à considérer. Nous conseillons cette location
