The space

This really lovely apartment, suitable for up to 6 people, is furnished with very good taste in the sign of refinement and elegance. Suitable for those who want to spend a holiday in a comfortable place, it will remain in the memories for long time. The property is located in a historic building in Rome, in via Merulana, a prestigious area, easy sorting for easy access to all the attractions that are worth a visit. In fact, just a few steps away is the metro Line A, the taxi station and public bus. Right from the hall of the palace you have the feeling of entering into something special and significant. Opening the front door, you are welcomed by a charming and ancient mosaic floor, flanked by two statues of marble lions to the right and to the left of the staircase that leads to the landing of the elevator. The apartment is on the first floor.
Once entered the hall you will see the marble columns of an antique decorative amphorae, the five mirrored doors with the noble crests in view, giving access respectively to the living room, the dining area, the two bedrooms, one of which has en-suite bathroom, the kitchen and a guest bathroom.
In the first living area, there is a double sofa bed framed by a huge mirror, other elements complete the decoration of this ambient. In the second adjacent dining area, in addition to other furniture, there is a single sofa bed that can accommodate a seventh person.
The first bedroom, which is also decorated with tone, has a double bed, a large wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a very nice bathroom with shower. Adjacent to the dining room, there is the second bedroom with a comfortable double sofa bed with wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedsides tables and armchairs.
The kitchen, with a particular green lacquer furniture, is totally equipped with cooker, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, electric oven, microwave oven and washing machine. From here you have access to a small internal courtyard of the building furnished with a small table and chairs in wrought iron.
A second guest bathroom with sink, toilet and bidet is available for the guests who wish to stay in the living area. The general tone of the apartment is decorated with fine furniture, paintings, lamps, columns and carpets that make the whole ambient suitable for use by those who love and surround themselves with good taste.

Great place, the location is excellent. The place is nice and clean, with lots of details. Pictures on the site are accurate. The people who run the place are very nice and eager to help. A very good experience. We will be back. Thank you!

This place is amazing but very different from a standard hotel rooms. It is decorated in some kind of Roman/Greek style and very different from a standard hotel rooms. The apartment is spacious, clean and well equipped. It was clean, the beds were good, the bed linen and towels were hotel quality. It is well located. If those, who are sleeping in the room next to the street, are not used to traffic noise they should bring earplugs. The communications between guest, host and staff were excellent. - There were several restaurants in the neighborhood, supermarket and pharmacy. I recommend this apartment to those who dare to try something different. "When in Rome..."

We have spent a lovely weekend in Rome. We were all together 6 ppl with different sleeping needs, but Bianca's apartment was just the perfect solution for it. The apartment looks exactly as in the pictures, was clean and very gorgeous. If someone wants to have the "living in the chateau"-experience this apartment is a must-try! As read in some previous comments the kitchen is tiny though but very well equipped and there is even a small inside-vip-garden opening from it:). There is only one shower coming from the sleeping-room but in our case we could totally solve this tiny "inconvenience". Bianca is as reliable as written, she was always answering the phone and was very helpful at our arrival. Thank you Bianca for the hosting hope we will come back soon!

After reading some quite negative reviews on the Airbnb site I was rather worried about this apartment. I guess it's just proof that reviews in general and reviews from unknown sources in particular have to be taken with a grain (and sometimes with a box) of salt. When I walked into the apartment, I was very pleasantly surprised. It looks exactly like the pictures. It is true, as someone mentioned, that it's a one bedroom apartment. Having said that, the apartment, with it's three sitting areas, is enormous by European standards....about 120 square meters or 1300 sq. feet. Both of the side sitting areas can be completely closed off and have nice sofa beds. So, if you're lookin for something with 3 dedicated bedroom, look further. Also, I can imagine the the decoration is not to everyone's taste. We decided to call it classical kitsch. Having said that, we thought it was quite successful as design, incorporating lots of colors and styles, but still coming up with a cohesive style. And, after all, you're not buying the damned thing! For the rest, everything worked. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook a lovely meal. And with the very ample cutlery and many glasses and dishes, serve it in style in the rather glamorous dining room. It true that the water boiler is a little bit eccentric... sometimes varying from cool to hot, but in the end it gets the job done. Also, though the location is fantastic, it isn't the quietest place in Rome. But, at 23.30 on night, after a fabulous dinner, we ventured out to Panella (100 meters) and bought bottles of Bollinger and delicious chocolates, which we brought back for desert..... Try this is a lot of other cities and you'll end up eating at a snack bar at this time of the night. Also, the airco and internet worked perfectly, the towels were of good quality and last, but certainly not least, the communication with everyone, the check-in and check-out went flawlessly. Everyone couldn't have been nicer. I travel all over the world constantly for my work and stay regularly in 5 star hotels.... often in their suites. Though this apartment has a few slightly rough edges, it more than compensates in other ways. And the price.... in the centre of Rome for so much space is astounding!

Communication with "Bianca" was smooth. Upon arrival to Rome I called from the airport as instructed; the man on the other end was a bit rude. He wasn't expecting my phone call and even asked me what address I was staying at. Once we figured everything out we set a meet time at the apt. Outside the apt we met two very pleasant women (there was a bit more confusion about whether they were there to let us in or another group from Airbnb... We recognized the apt, so it was determined that we were the correct group of six) Basically there is a small business that rents out rooms through the website and their communication can be improved. The apartment was very clean, appeared as advertised, great location, easy walk from the train station, the two women gave us a map and talked with us about where to visit, they were open to questions and weren't in a rush. The apt easily accommodates 6 to sleep (one true bed/bedroom=very quiet. Two foldout couches in 2 separate living spaces that can be closed off with doors= loud...drivers in Rome LOVE honking) 2 toilets, 1 shower. Our last day, the hot water went out. We didn't call for assistance or find the pilot light but at check-out the nice women told us we should have called for help (our bad). We also couldn't manage to get the stove to work. No microwave, but a small toaster-oven that we didn't figure out either. Fully stocked kitchen. Washing machine. Small courtyard. We had a nice stay and were relieved that the women who let us in were so pleasant. The apt was a very nice place to return to after exhausting days on the streets of Rome. I would recommend this apartment. Thank You
