We were staying in Manuelas flat for two weeks in july, having a fantastic stay in the villa and enjoying the lovely pool. Manuela is a lovely host who helped us whenever we needed help to find our way around or solving issues when things got too Portuguese (we only speak english) . The area in Palmela is not a turist area, which is great. We enjoyed the local food, local vine (which we bought around the corner of the house), local cheese and all good things for hardly any money (compared to norway). You will need a car to get around though, as Manuela has already pointed out on her profile. People around us were really helpfull and friendly. Thanks Manuela for a great stay!! Greetings from all 7 of us - from the youngest, who loved to feed the fishes, to the oldest who had his 70 birthday :D

Staying here was an absolute pleasure. The house was everything we hoped for and more. Manuela welcomed us with open arms and was always helpful when we needed her. The area is nice and quiet, so perfect for relaxing and has beautiful beaches a short drive away.

Manuela was a wonderful hostess, she met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of her home showing us how everything worked. She left us a bottle of wine and some orange cake which she had baked herself, it was very thoughtful and appreciated by our party of five. The house is lovely and well decorated. She had carefully setup the sleeping arrangements to meet our needs. She spent time telling us about the locations of shopping and the better restaurants. We found some wonderful fish restaurants in Setubal based on her comments. She kept in touch with us through the two weeks we were in her home to make sure all was well and responded very promptly and quickly to our needs. As an example, we couldn’t find a corkscrew, we texted Manuela, she contacted the neighbor and he was at our gates within minutes and lent us his corkscrew!! It was a most thoughtful reaction to our need. We were in Portugal in February, a little early for the use of the pool however Manuela ensured it was clean and the water circulating, it looked lovely in the evening with the lights on shining underwater. It must be a lovely feature in the summer. The Palmela area is lovely and full of history and interest. It is a little off the main tourist routes and we really enjoyed the quiet nature of the area. Just what we were looking for in a holiday. This was our first visit to Portugal and we really enjoyed our stay, we will certainly return.

She decoded to change the price for an extra night and she did let us know the day we entered, she wanted to charge babies under 3 years as an adult. But at the end we reached an agreement.

Response from Manuela:
First of all according to your information none of your children were aged under 3, as one were 3 years old and the other one was 5. Then, what I wanted you to pay, and you didn't agree, was the extra adult you brought, and just informed me a few days before arrival. My conditions are very clear though: € 20 per extra person, per night. It's on the site.

Manuela made us feel right at home with a very warm welcome (she even brought us a bottle of wine). Everything about the house was as good or better (awesome bbq!) as described in the listing. Lovely pool, plenty of space, clean and modern bathrooms and very well equiped large kitchen. We had an amazing time, will definitely recommend the property to friends. And already look forward to come back one day.

As minhas paixões? O teatro, a dança, a cozinha e sempre, sempre, a família e os amigos.
