This small apartment has been kept as a second property for family use. After discovering Airbnb, we think this small apartment can connect us to a big world and meet people from all countries.
The house is situated in Kowloon City, a local neighborhood with unique characteristics. It's also a food haven. Over 200 hundred restaurants are found within a 5 minute walk.
Over 50 buses and minibuses will take you to literally anywhere in Hong Kong. Subway station, Lok Fu, is 12-min walk away.
It is a tiny studio flat has everything of a home. Space has been utilized smartly to accommodate an open kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a sofa that is also a pull-out bed.
The 200 sq. ft. flat has a patio that is even bigger than the interior itself.
The old airport used to locate at Kowloon City. That's why most of buildings in this area are not tall due to aviation rule.
People live here, so you won't see hustling night spots in this area. It has character of its own.
Supermarket, shopping mall, wet market, convenience store, laundry, pharmaceutical, beauty parlors, banks, coffee shops, restaurants and specialty shops are plenty and literally at the doorstep.
Kowloon City is famous for food. There are more than 200 restaurants in this small neighborhood serving international and local cuisines. They are reasonably priced and popular among locals.
Recently Kowloon City has been given a nickname, Little Bangkok, because of its growing Thai community. Many restaurants serve authentic Thai food while a few of them specializes in Thai style barbecue.
Next to my apartment, there is a street, Lion Rock Road, with many shops selling export apparel. If you are lucky, you can find sample clothes of named brands at unbeatable price.
When you live here, you must visit the nearby Kowloon Walled City Park (5 minute walk only) which has preserved some very important historical monuments. The garden has been beautifully built to imitate a traditional Chinese garden.
If you need to stick to daily jogging and swimming routine, the huge Kowloon Tsai Park is just nearby (5 minute walk).
Although there is no subway train in Kowloon City, there are many buses and minibuses serving the area. However, if you insist using subway, the nearest station (Lok Fu) is in 12-minute walking distance. It is already a far distance in our standard as we are spoiled by superb infrastructure.
Airport Bus A22 can take you directly to Kowloon City. Even if you walk slowly, it takes you only 8 minutes from where you take off to go to my flat. I'll email you a detailed instruction after your booking confirmation.
We don't have an elevator in the building. Lucky that the flat is on the first floor.
Everything in the house is there for your enjoyment. Towels, disposable slippers, toilet amenities, snacks, soda drinks, instant coffee, tea, instant noodles, cereal and even coins for your small transactions.
Interaction with guests
I am happy to communicate with my guests by email, instant messaging apps, text and phone.
Public transport is very convenient as the options for buses and minibuses are plenty - more than 50 routes. Connection to Lok Fu Subway Station is also very easy either by a short minibus ride or 12 minute walk.
Other things to note
During your stay, you'll be provided with a smartphone which also functions as a hotspot for WiFi sharing. You don't need to buy your own phone and data card.
Smoking is not allowed inside the studio flat. You can smoke at the balcony.
Shoes off inside the house. Slippers are provided for outdoor.
