This is a gorgeous home with meticulous and stylish decor, with tons of charm as it is an older building. Sitting up a few steps from the ocean, the views - especially the sunset views - are amazing! The house has everything you need and more. We stayed for 11 days and somehow it still wasn't enough time. Sarah and Mark live next door which is really nice in case you have any questions. You need to climb a few steps to get to the house which is surrounded by a gorgeous garden with lots of birds. There are so many nooks and crannies in the garden to hang out. Our kids loved the little paths and explored the whole front yard. There is a lovely place to get good food just 2 blocks away - Fishermans Kommetjie restaurant. We went almost every day for seafood and good German beer; there is also a playground and occasional live music so great for kids and parents alike. There are several nearby places to eat, within walking distance. Also want to mention that there is a working lighthouse nearby that you can walk to in ten minutes. The light shines in the house - not in an annoying way - each night. We loved it. The ocean rescue team sets up shop half a block away on weekends to assist troubled boaters, swimmers, surfers on weekends. The kids loved seeing all the equipment. We had a truly lovely time and would return!

The perfect escape from a busy lifestyle. Beautiful house with stunning furnishing and awesome seaviews. Sarah goes out of her way to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Extra little touches like underfloor heating and heaters in the house when you get there on a rainy day. Coffee and cookies waiting for you. This was one of the most unforgetable experiences I ever had. Looking forward to our next visit.

Our hostess Sarah had really gone over and above for our arrival at "Under the Milkwood". Little special details that all made us feel very welcome and the feeling of being in a 5star hotel. The cottage is beautiful, spotless and very stylish. It has all the luxuries and is very comfortable. the location is also perfect. We had a wonderful stay and will be back for sure. Thank you for having us!

We loved our stay at the cottage, it is even better than the photographs portray. The location is great with beautiful views and we even had flamingoes in the bay. I would definitely recommend it for a tranquil getaway.
