Other things to note

*Mountain Top is located on the top of a mountain as the name implies so you'll be driving up a mountain/gravel road that is steep in places. If you have a vehicle with AWD or 4WD I would suggest traveling with it - it's not necessary but very helpful to have. 4WD and tire chains are highly recommended in inclement weather such as snow or icy conditions. *Neither sheets nor towels are provided but there are plenty of blankets, comforters & pillows at the cabin. If you would prefer to have sheets & towels provided I could arrange for these to be set up for your arrival for an additional fee.

The view alone is worth the rough road up

We decided to elope and stay in a cabin in Virginia for a "mini-honeymoon". I came across this place and the place seemed perfect. Booking was easy, and Caroline was so easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical about making it up the gravel driveway after reading some of the other reviews. We did have a little trouble at first, but quickly realized the trick was to hug the side of the path where the grass was. After that, we came and went several times with no problems. The place was perfect as described. Nice sized rooms, and everything was clean. The kitchen is well stocked, so you shouldn't really need to bring any pots, pans utensils or anything. The hot tub was very nice, and the deck also had a nice table for 4 and a grill. The view was AMAZING!!! We were looking for seclusion and an awesome view, and this place did not disappoint. We will be staying there again.

All I can say is, I am definitely booking this house again in the future. Caroline was very helpful and responsive. I can't stress enough what a wonderful host she is, really couldn't have made it up the mountain without her instructions. If you're not good at planning activities, she's got you on that for sure!. The house itself is very cozy and exceeds expectations on the views that you get from the deck. You can relax in the hot tub, watch the sunset, and do a little bit of star gazing. All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

This view is amazing! Highly recommend. The trip can be a little tough in a small car but we enjoyed it!

This house was beautiful and perfect for the three of us that went up for vacation. There are two bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs. However, the only A.C. unit is upstairs. So, if you go during the summer and want to stay downstairs....... It will be about 10 degrees warmer. That A.C. works GREAT for the upstairs though!! Plenty of people have already said it but I will reemphasize. THIS DRIVE UP IS NO JOKE. We had a Full Size Yukon and it was tough at times. On the way down, a car had to back down one of the steeper hills and got caught on the bank and had to call a tow truck. Be prepared!! Once there be prepared to stay. Don't go back down if you don't have too. So, go shopping before you get there. Don't forget extra trash bags, toiletries, etc. All in all, we had a great time. While the terrain was much more than expected....... the view made up foe everything. It was unreal!! We loved our stay!!

This cabin has a beautiful view and host is very responsive. I'd recommend 4WD or AWD to drive up the gravel road to get to the cabin. My family and I were very pleased with the location and experience.

This was just the getaway we needed. Beautiful views and just enough space to not feel like we were on top of each other. We fortunately brought a truck up there, but yes I would agree "regular" cars could have challenges with that gravel road. For that reason, I'd recommend packing in all your food & beverages so you don't need to leave the quiet serenity of this place. We will absolutely we returning. Caroline was a wonderful responsive host.
