Our bright, garden access, furnished room in Coronado is the perfect place to stay for a getaway or an extended vacation. It has access to a kitchenette and bathroom (shared), and is only a short distance from the beach that is voted best in the country.

San Diego is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and the quaint community of Coronado is one of its most popular destinations throughout the year for tourists seeking a relaxing vacation. Better yet, it is only a bridge or ferry ride away from the tourist attractions in downtown San Diego.

On the north side of Coronado is Centennial Park and the Ferry Landing Marketplace, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the San Diego skyline and up-close views of the Navy aircraft carriers when they are in port. You can also take the Coronado Ferry to downtown San Diego and enjoy the city's numerous attractions and activities.

Once you arrive at our home, park your car and do the rest of your visit on foot or by two beach cruisers we provide for you. Bike down Glorietta Boulevard, which takes you along Tidelands Park, underneath the Coronado Bay Bridge, and past the Coronado Golf Course. You can also go along Orange Avenue, which is the main street with shops and businesses running through the center of town.

Continue your bike ride on the south side of the island, by exploring the historic Hotel del Coronado, made famous by visits from world leaders and the filming of the movie classic, ‘Some Like it Hot’ with Marilyn Monroe. History buffs can learn more about the rich history of the Hotel Del and the Coronado Navy Base by stopping in to the Coronado Museum of History and Art. Along the way, you will pass boutique shops and art galleries on Orange Avenue.

Ride one of our cruisers to Coronado Beach, generally rated the best beach in California, and "Dr. Beach's" 2012 BEST beach in the USA. Relax or go for a stroll along the wide sandy beaches and calm surf.

Finally, after a day of touring around Coronado and watching the beautiful sunset, you can pick from a wide selection of fine dining restaurants and (email hidden) production at Lamb’s Playhouse Theatre.

We offer our guests a bright and spacious furnished room with a full sized bed with twin trundle. It has a beautiful view of our garden with outdoor seating, access to a kitchenette with a refrigerator stocked with drinks, and a full bathroom with soaker tub. Wireless internet is available, and there is ample free street parking.

Other things to note

As the common areas (kitchenette, bathroom) are shared with an existing female (the rooms are private and have their own doors with locks), we would like a similarly clean and courteous female tenant to share our home (under Fair Housing law, the law states that listings may express a preference based upon gender.)

My stay at Rainier's and his wife's home was absolutely wonderful!! The location could not have been better. Anywhere that we wanted to go in San Diego was 15 min. or less and the neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful with ample parking!! It was really fantastic to have access to a mini kitchen (and a full size fridge), bikes, and laundry facilities right in the home. Their little dog was so adorable and the hosts could not have been more welcoming!! The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable and the shower was one of the best ever... awesome water pressure and an excellent handheld shower head. Entry to the house, checkin and checkout were effortless. I'm delighted to have stayed here and most highly recommend this Airbnb!!!

Rainier's place is exactly as it is described in the pictures and the place is located in the beautiful part of San Diego in Coronado.... the most scenic view of San Diego could be viewed from a view point just few minutes away from the place and the same applies to the beach which is next level serenity. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfy. Rainier offered even laundry facilities and bikes to move around in Coronado. It is worth the value and I very strongly recommend this place to all travelling to San Diego and looking for a calm and beautiful place to stay during their time here. Rainier was an amazing host and I would definitely stay there again on my next visit to San Diego

Nice clean place, good bed, friendly host, and on top of that excellent extra facilities (washing, bicycle etc) at a fair price, would stay again.

Coronado is the place to be in San Diego! the bikes here they let you use were the best part! also having the side door access from the bedroom to the backyard was just wonderful, letting in a fresh breeze on a beautiful summer's day. only about 4-5 miles away from downtown gas-lamp, great for getting a Lyft! bailey was cute 3

Quiet neighborhood conveniently located on Coronado, about a 1 mile walk to downtown area. Great host with a great family. Both their kid, and their small dog are surprisingly quiet. The dog will usually greet you halfway down the stairs when you walk through the door. The family keeps to the upstairs area, so the downstairs area where the bedroom is mostly yours. Bedroom and bathroom are very clean and comfortable.

Rainier and Toni are the most incredibly wonderful hosts. I have lived in their home for several months and every day I continue to be blown away by the beauty and serenity of their home and Coronado. This is the most beautiful location in San Diego. It is perfect on every level.

I like spending time with my family and enjoying the summer concerts at the park, or swimming at the local rec center pool, or hanging out at the beach. Occasionally I'll go on long bike rides up and down the coast, or find myself reading one of my many books I've gotten but haven't had the time to catch up on :)
