The Cabin is built on the Jetty next to my Houseboat in a small forest and on the tidal banks of the River Orwell by the characterful village of Pin Mill. The Cabin itself has a shower room and a box bedroom. Ideal for photographers and walkers.

A great relief from city life - fresh air, beautiful idyllic location, lovely host who welcomed us into his beautifully Utopian life. The cabin is perfectly situated on the edge of a river jetty and a nature reserve, and also walking distance to the Butt and Oyster pub which was great for a drink in the sun and for dinner. I would recommend a stay at David's cabin to anyone who is after a unique, relaxing break, or even a peak into a beautiful lifestyle.

We had a lovely time staying in David's cosy cabin. The spot was very tranquil and a beautiful place to wake up. The cabin had everything we needed and David was a great host. He was very welcoming and friendly and cooked us an excellent fry up on his boat. Would recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic time staying here. Wanting to get out of London and see something new, this was the perfect spot. David is a friendly, helpful host, and the surrounding area is great for relaxing, whether it be at the pub or in the nearby meadows. A perfect weekend getaway for a couple

We were delighted with our stay with David, who is a friendly, chatty and accommodating host. The hut is about 200 yards from a perfect pub but is otherwise in a secluded spot with beautiful views backed by tall trees - you're very much 'in nature'. We would happily come and stay again - but be warned, this isn't for everyone. You need to be reasonably agile and happy to share a bohemian and rustic space with the occasional spider. Those who like it will absolutely love it - those who don't... well, there are lots of mainstream B&Bs in town centres to choose from!

David is a brilliant host, is massively into music, art, politics and history, really traveled and open minded. The cabin is really pretty, there's a lot of collectables from around the word and really good music to play on a cd-player. Really cosy and comfortable even for tall people like me. Really good breakfast and interesting talk, definitely coming back!

David User ProfileDavid is a superhost.

Happily content with living in a beautiful place. I am a big fan of laid-back living.I have a 20 year old son, currently at university in Barcelona, who still loves to come home to Pin Mill and loves the riverside life. As you may see this is an unusual way of living. I built the Cabin as a snug retreat in the cold winter and was delighted with the reactions of friends who stayed there. I am a music loving, film going and book reading kind of person, who loves gardening. I have travelled widely and managed a Tea company in India for a few years.
