About this listing

Conveniently located in the town centre of Prestatyn, a long-standing Welsh seaside resort, just a stone's throw from the train/bus station, with shops, restaurants + pubs but 1 minute away, a bar on the premises, and a 5-minute walk to the beach or hills, for a great stay for 2 or up to 3/4, in a clean, fresh, newly-refurbished apartment with parking, look no further =)

The space

As the name suggests, Vale View Apartment offers a great view of the Vale of Clwyd at Prestatyn. The apartment is on the top (2nd floor, reached by stairs and lift) in the town's most iconic building, the former Victoria Hotel (1897), conveniently situated a short walk from the station for train travellers and offering a small car park at the rear for drivers, as well as plenty of free street parking all around.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
The apartment itself is a 1-bed self-contained flat with a standard double bed ready made up in the bedroom and a folding single bed for extra guests, which can be set up in the lounge. The 6 foot-long leather sofa in the lounge can also be slept on by extra guests, so at no extra costs, the flat can sleep up to 4 if guests choose.
We also offer a folding travel cot for babies, as well as feeding/changing facilities, and a dog bed and bowls for well-behaved pets.
THE TOWN
The High Street and Parc Prestatyn are a minute's walk away when you take a right out of the building, and continuing further in this direction there are mountainside walks (Offas Dyke) offering great views across the Vale. Turn left out of the building and walk 5 minutes down the road and you'll hit the beach and the Wales Coast Path. It couldn't be better placed!

Guest access

Guests have access to all shared entrance/exits, stairwells and lift. The apartment is self-contained with a bedroom, bathroom, lounge-diner and kitchen.

Interaction with guests

We live half a mile away and meet our guests personally at the building to show you around and leave you the key.

Other things to note

The Victoria Building contains several apartments with residents of all ages, as well as other guests and patrons of this former hotel's remaining licenced public bar, 2 floors below. Situated on the corner of Bastion Road overlooking the town's High Street, do be aware that in high season there may be late-night noise from weekend and bank holidays events which come with Prestatyn being a resort town that welcomes 10,000s of visitors and tourists a year.

This place is a great home from home. The couple have made it very comfy and homely. The flat is located next to the train station and a variety of shops plus is close to the beach. Great stay!

Absolutely wonderful apartment close to the train station (but so quiet!), super friendly hosts. Very clean, spacious, and the bed is just amazing. Easy walk to the shops or to the beach!

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved staying in this flat - it was clean, in a fantastic location inside a beautiful building, and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was so comfy I almost didn't want to get up each morning! Thank you Lyz and Will for being great hosts! I would love to stay here again, and I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting beautiful North Wales :)

Self contained apartment, moments from public transport and shops/restaurants etc. Great views and quiet for the most part. Would suit those who need a base, somewhere to rest their weary heads or those about to explore the beautiful vistas, walks and cycle paths Prestatyn has to offer. The exterior of the building is beautiful and shows how grand it once was. I hope the building owners restore it to it's former glory someday soon- it really is full of character.

If you are walking the Offa's Dyke path, I highly suggest finishing with a couple of nights here, as it is really nice to have a place to yourself to totally relax after so many days of walking. Some of the guide books say that Prestatyn is an anticlimactic end to the walk, but we found the shops lovely, the sand soft, and the sunsets over the rising tides a perfect way to end. Also, they have a nice clean bathtub which is great for aching limbs! Beautiful wood floors, nice view of the hills you just climbed, and great location.

We had a very enjoyable stay here! the home was immaculate, the hosts were beyond accommodating to our needs and schedule, and the location was very central! We wished we could have stayed longer, thanks again! Ps- beautiful beach sunsets and a visit to nearby Conwy castle and the Rhyl - Dyserth waterfall are musts!

William arrived promptly to let us into the apartment and show us around. He helped us with everything from local resaurants and shops to the beach. Nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was beautiful and modern, not to mention absolutey spotless. As for the area it was beautiful with a gorgeous sandy beach and rolling hills around. The location was in walking distance to everything you would want. We liked it that much we will be returning in the summer. There was a train station across the road but we honestly never heard a thing!

Response from Will+Lyz:
Thank you ever so for your kind feedback and lovely comments, Abbie it means such a lot and we're really pleased you liked the apartment, and enjoyed your stay. Thank you from our part for leaving everything so perfect - it's always noted and appreciated. We do feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful corner of the UK with the coast on one side and countryside on the other and all the usual urban amenities in between and it’s great to be able to share our home town with such lovely visitors! Being a small town the station’s only got 2 platforms so happily no frequent ‘InterCitys’ whizzing noisily through, but it does make the apartment very handy for train-travelling guests. However you’re travelling though Abbie, you’re very welcome back any time =)
