The space
The Chalet has three bedrooms to rent:
Unit 1 - Sleeps 5 Double bed, underneath a trundle bed which extends to a full height single bed and a set of bunks.
Unit 2A - Sleeps 5 (You are viewing this unit)
Unit 3 - Sleeps 5 Queen bed and a set of bunks, a floor mattress is available if required. Enquire at time of booking.

All rooms open onto shared kitchen, lounge & dinning area.

This means you could be sharing the kitchen, lounge & dinning area with others.

Guest access
On confirmation of your booking I will send you the code for the lock box at the back door of the Chalet. In the lock box is a key for the back door.

During your stay
During the winter months my husband and I will be in residence in the other bedroom in wing 1. We enjoy the lodge feel, of our winter home. We are mountain hosts at Whakapapa and enjoy interaction with our quests, in the chalet and on the mountain.

During the summer our neighbour maintains the Chalet and is happy answer any questions.

Other things to note
As the Chalet has 3 units it maybe busy some nights but there are lots of amenities and space.

Please use the two tables provided and not take food or drinks into your room.

There is no local rubbish collection, however there is a transfer station on the other side of the railway line. Directions and operating hours are in the back of the grey book along with various activity brochures.

Both, my husband Dempster & I enjoy people, we love nothing more than to give the people who stay with us new memories. There is so much to do here. A river trail is right at our back door as is the lake and all the activities that go with it. We enjoy water skiing and snow skiing. We are mountain Hosts on Mt Ruapehu. As we have a golf course below our backyard we are enjoying learning the game. I still play tennis, and badminton was new to me last year. I am a volunteer for several local organisations. We have 7 grandchildren. We love the outdoor life and appreciate good health & happiness.
